Would you please Refresh my Memory on a Chargeback

Buyer orders 5/21, we ship same day.  Delivered on 5/24 per USPS.

Buyer files chargeback tonight stating "does not recognize transaction".  Buyer is also a seller, selling similar items.  

To respond to the dispute, all you can do now as a Seller is enter the tracking, which indeed shows delivered.

There is no box or anything to add anything additional.   Last one we had was 2-3 years ago and we dealt with Paypal who found in our favor as it showed delivered.

This is MP.  Does Buyer automatically win in this scenario?  What now?

It doesn't feel like a victory because the scammer lives on emboldened to scam another seller.. 

Focus on the positive.. Time will take care of that person, hopefully sooner rather than later..

oxymoron; decision was found in buyers favor and they have recieved $$ - but your "covered" by ebay and don't have to pay anything back 😆

File a Police Report for Theft.  For what you have described, this person is selling the same thing, that he/she bought from you.  I am sure, that he/she has done the same thing to other people.

They removed his "glowing" FB as well.  LOL  ("Best Seller EVER"....lmao)

So how many times does this Buyer/Seller get to do this?  No way to know, correct?

Yes, I am relieved to say the least that I will get my monies back.  Just did not want the Buyer to get to keep the item AND the money and he got to SELL my parts and make more money.  This is just f'd up.

here's the real shocker, when they do "release" you don't get those funds...because they "we're already paid out to you" - been through this before.

You have to be a rocket scientist to keep up with all this.  Thank goodness others that have been thru it can advise those like me whose frame of reference was only with paypal and several years back.

At least I wrote him one of the meanest emails I have ever written in my life and told him what I thought.  

Changed nothing, but for about 15 min it really felt good.

Any time eBay has tried to steal from me over the years, they haven't gotten away with it. I always recover my money one way or another.

it happened to me twice, both times they released the funds but they never added them to my payout.. when I called and talk to MP they said "because those funds were already paid out to you" - my reply? OK, technically yes they were, but the money ebay took and placed on hold was not.... their reply to that? yeah it was...leaves a huge question mark to me, but I gave up calling them every day about it.

So it's curious that this person would do this while also being a seller.  Let's just say I know what I would do in this situation.

They run the risk that someone will buy from them and fail to recognize the charge on their credit card.

Thank you!  Did you notice the time on the email??  I did not see it until later this morning, but you WAKE up to the news, whatever it is.  Like potentially losing is not bad enough, they make it so it comes in the middle of the night and one of you first emails of the day.  Goodie!!!!  lol

would have waited to make sure the hold was closed, but ask me, justice would be for them to suspend that sellers account, going by what you said seems like they have done this to other sellers also. Worse then buyers only - sellers robbing others sellers is beyond the line of justifiable.

I reported him.  Twice and tried in vane to get OMAR to hear me on this.

His Selling account is fine.  Based on his solds....he is doing great.  Account still there and while I used to think Sellers were none too bright to buy on their Selling ID, brazen Bill doesn't seem to care and it has not affected him yet.  

I should have purchased one of the mini-figs lots when I had the chance.  Guess I will never 1000% know for certain, but I am 999.99% certain (in my mind only), I am.

I purchase on the account i sell - i only have 1 account. But I don't open claims or rip sellers I buy from off. If I see something for a good price and I can turn a profit then I sell it, seller got what they asked for and usually i do too.

You've never had a buyer see your FB from the Seller with the price of the item purchase and connect the dots for what you then sold it for?  (maybe no one looks at FB any more....lol)

We had that happen MANY years ago and quickly set up a "buying" only account.  Also, when we first started selling (04), a lot of retaliatory was carp was going on the boards, so we needed a "posting/buying ID".  (We used to post here with our Selling ID....but learned the hard way, that people are still retaliatory when things get heated on the boards, so we have a true "posting" ID now.   Only bought a little with this one as others mentioned that zero FB ids sometimes go "poof" if not active, etc.  To e-Bay, they're all linked.  To those on the boards - no.  lol)
