What does the weather have to do with listing an item? If you want to sell an item you have to list it whether it is sunny, cloudy, raining, snowing, etc..

But you may not be able to ship it if the roads are closed and carriers can't move for a couple of days. That could cause problems on your seller account. That is why posters here sometimes remove items for a few days.

eBay doesn't punish sellers for shipping delays due to snowstorms.

Reading the boards for a while will tell you that they do. Many of the recent storms have affected only smaller areas so no system wide announcements were made, but the sellers in those areas were affected ... and shipping times dinged.

not sure i understand ... of course you list...you list whenever you can/want to...
Doesn't matter ...ebay is seen by a few people...way over a hundred --throughout the country/world/universe....
they ALL aren't off... some have to work ....they need to waist there time looking at stuff....snow storms are one area...sunburn is another...you can't sell it, if it isn't listed.

well that would depend on YOU situation..if you feel you can't get the item in the mail....so change your handle time to two days, or get the sale then worry about the next issue....you want sales!
but yes some might decide--if snow is deep and can't get to mail stuff..cetainly...we all have our own issues at times....and for some that is a pro active move....but ebay allows for delays in big storms...and a email to the buyer stating you'll get in mail....due to the storm...most are fine...and mail catches up....but some worry they many get a ding...ok so maybe..call ebay cs...BUT i say get the sale first...do as needed after.....

Ebay seems to forgive delays in shipping only if the weather condition closed down quite a large area... like it was a big one, affecting a lot of a state or region.
If the worst of the snowstorm was mostly just over a couple of towns in one little corner of a state, that can be too small to get the Special Dispensation. One big question to consider is.. was the storm sufficiently huge to close down the United States Postal System in the area?
There have been a lot of really, really damaging weather events that have struck areas and caused outages and an inability of sellers to complete their shipping in a timely manner, but eBay was oblivious to the local storm and there was no forgiveness for late shipping.

As long as I am not in the affected area where I can not get my items out on time, why not.
I am in RI, no work tomorrow, so I can log on early tomorrow and shop.
