Would you consider a Women's size Small and Size 2 the same thing?

The title of the listing says small, the item details list says size small, and there is only pics of front and back of item on a mannequin with no close ups. Buyer receives dress and the tag actually reads size 2. Would you think that would qualify for a NAD case?

There is a 'no longer made or sold' item I've been shopping for here.   All the same brand originally sold by the same store, but they've changed packaging and style names a few times over the years.  Over the last few months, I  have bought several of them, enough to know the sizing quite well.

I found one listing and as I was reading through it, I noticed the size letter didn't seem to match the measurements the seller listed.  They had only included a listing of the front of the package though and not the back that has the size charts.

Sent a quick ASQ, wondering if they had mixed up the picture and the listing text. asking them to add a picture of the back so I could verify.  Had to word it a but carefully so as not to accuse the seller.  A day or two later the second image appeared and sure enough, the sizing was completely different than the normal sizing of the style and brand.  I have no idea why and I haven't seen that on any of their other styles.

If I hadn't asked, I would have had something I couldn't use.

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

Since nowadays, classically attractive ladies like Marilyn Monroe would be considered plus size, a size 2 would be not only small, but skeletal or broomstick sized, perhaps even small enough for the wearer to have her own event horizon.

If it works, sell it. If it works well, sell it for more. If it doesn't work, quadruple the price and sell it as an antique.

Marilyn Monroe would be considered plus size, a size 2 would be not only small, but skeletal or broomstick sized,

Simply NOT TRUE

From the 1960s-1970   vs now

Size 4 - now 0 or 2

Size 6  - now Size 2 or 4

Size 8 - now Size 4 or 6

Size 10 - now Size 6 or 8

Size 12 - now an 8 or 10

Size 14 - now a 10 -12

Monroe wore a Size 10-12 in the 1950s. She was 36-24 -34.

Sizing went up in the 1970s from th 1950s - the size 12 became a Size 8

Today a 24 inch waist and 34 inch hips are a size 0 or 00

My new Size 2 Lilly Puliter shorts (or vintage Size 4)  or new Size 2 Brooks Bro pants would gap around her waist and just barely stay up on th hips.

If they give measurements you should go by the measurements not the tag, are you saying the put the wrong size in the title and the item specifics? I've gave measurements and listed the size the item measures and still had people argue with me because they were stuck on tag size which clearly did not match the item but that's not my fault and it was clearly outlined.

YES. You stated you know the brand well. So since you know the brand well than you should have known the sizes prior to purchasing. If you didn't, you should have asked when you read "small", but wondered what does small really mean. You had no problem asking here what small means. I personally would have never ordered something I wasn't sure would fit without asking.

OP asked here in the context that the listing said SMALL in two places, BUT the item tag says size 2.  She is familiar with the brand and small fits her.  Buyer could have asked for measurements to be sure, but she was confident small would fit.  Then she did NOT receive a small.

Given that listing said SMALL but size says 2, then in my opinion, this is a SNAD.

That said, there can be variations between the same item in a particular line.  I don't know if Michal Kors is one that this can occur with.

I would say 2 is XS.

My girls wear a size 0 or 2 petitie.  And they are very healthy.

If you are under 5 feet to as much as 5 feet 3 that would be in your size category.

Actually you are mch healthier being underweight than overweight. (I am not talking about extremes)

Right? What was so hard about that? Perfect summary for my too verbose explanations. Once again Castle throwing some magic around.
