Paypal locks up my money for the Ipad. I call them and under seller protection I got my account unlocked because of seller protection. This was a week ago. Today I get a email from Paypal saying this person's credit card found in her favor but Paypal is covering it. So now I don't have to refund which is good but Paypal eats the cost. Does Paypal do anything after this? Do they go after the person who scammed me? I would hope that Paypal would not take this sitting down.
The buyer scammed the CC company, not you, since you were covered. Lost nothing.
PP takes the loss and writes it off. The CC company will deal with the person using that CC and claiming "unauthorized use" to see if it was legit or not.
