Hi All
I sell Patches all around the world
every so often they go missing in the post and in 90 % of cases i send another and its resolved.
However sometimes i get a buyer who refuses a replacement and demands a refund.
This again ive had to do without worrying about it and mark it down to one of those things.
However i have a situation where a buyer did this, and demanded a refund
a few days later i had it again with the same product but a different buyer in the same country.
And then today its the same product, new buyer just purchased but after looking into it all 3 buyers live within 2 miles of each other.
So essentially the first one got the product and then scammed me and told his mates and they are doing the same.
Now i have no definitive proof of this, and although they have the choice of tracked postage they always choose basic postage so i have no proof of receipt.
Can i refuse to sell to this new 3rd person as i know they will put a claim in ?
or can i inform someone that it may happen and if it does they wont win a case ?
thanks in advance

Wish I had a solution for you but unfortunately I don't other than block sales to that country. There is really nothing to report the buyers for as it could be a co-incidense - although it probably isn't. Without concrete proof that they are working together to receive items for free - there's not much you can do.

If the item has been paid for - you have to ship but I'd put all 3 IDs on the BBL and make adjustments to the countries I sell to. Tracking is there to protect the seller from these types of things - a buyer should not be paying extra for tracking as with Ebay's protection they don't need it - you do as you've found out so I'd take that option right out of your listing

I cant remove the country as its a huge sales area for me, and i cant remove the non tracked option as they wont pay the price for tracked (or very rarely anyway).
i put the first 2 on my BBL but they just inform another friend it seems
Thanks for the reply though

I made a thread about 3 people using the same zip code giving me low ball offers in the same day ... What are the odds of that ?... Of course it was the same buyer with 3 different accounts. All went into the blocklist and the thread magically got taken off this board ...

If you listed the buyer ID's - then yes - that's a violation and the thread will be removed. Unfortunately things like this happen - did you report the incident to Ebay as they will look into that.
