Been selling here since 1998 & still need to know how many people are looking at my item to make rational decisions about it.......
All view numbers are now crazy, off the wall.
Why Suddenly another eBay loss of information for Sellers?

I can still see views and watchers in my active listings page. I use the seller hub.
Good Luck Selling!

They didn't remove it, they have just experienced some problems recently. If it isn't yet fixed for you, is should be soon. You may try the Technical board here to see what others may be experiencing and if it has resolved for them. Sometimes issue happen. Ebay isn't out to take needed information away from you.

It is a known bug and they are working to correct it, I know because I called about it a few days ago. Sometimes these issues are harder to fix than we might appreciate.

Ebay is one giant glitch, they should have it fixed by........well......probably never.

For most of us this is not true. Yes, Ebay does have glitches. Certainly more than I'd like to see. But not all glitches affect everyone and the site still functions. I realize you have had issues with Ebay. But your issues are not necessarily everyone else's issues. I know that because you found it to me too much for your business you have moved on. I'm sorry it came to that, but wish you a bright future in whatever you do.

I'm not even sure of your point in this post. You said
Yes "Ebay, does have glitches"
Then go on to explain how its no big deal because it doesn't effect you.
Sadly, the glitches and policy changes do effect people and to those people its more than "no big deal". The glitches on Ebay are constant and downplaying them, because they don't bother you, oddly enough like anything Ebay rolls out, doesn't make them OK or acceptable.

View counts on eBay have never been completely accurate. Much of the time for many listings the numbers are right but between the glitches and the 'bots the numbers cannot be relied upon other than in general terms (is the total of all views on all items going up or down).
Watch numbers on the other hand have always seemed to reflect reality (or at least close to reality).
Since my system maintains view count info for listings going back more than a decade I can see the glitches quite clearly, an item that has been relisted over and over (say 50 times), 45 of those listings will show 1 - 5 views but 5 of them will show 50 - 100 views. I can't think of a legit reason why the views would be so consistent and then have an immense spike, maybe it's posted to some social media place but more likely it's a hiccup in the counters.
eBay view counters are not the only place where this happens, even Google Analytics throws out some crazy numbers from time to time.

You and I have had conversations on other threads and you have a unique way or interpreting something another has said [me in this case] that wasn't said. I NEVER said or implied that is was no big deal to me or anyone else.
The only reason to do this is in an attempt to dismiss what I said because you have a different point of view or agenda. It is OK to disagree. My point of view does not have to match yours. That doesn't make me wrong either, nor does it make you wrong. It only means we don't agree and that does not have to be a big deal.
As I said before, I know you had some significant issues with Ebay that caused you to stop selling. And for you, as is represented by your postings on various threads, you are quite upset with them. I respect that. You have every right to be upset.

ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. I too use those views to see how well items are doing. Is it worded correctly, priced right, in the right category or even being seen at all.
I have no idea now. I wasn't sure if I should be upset or happy that my listing start with views. I wondered if the extra impressions would bump them up in search. Not sure. It certainly doesn't appear to be helping my sales. I think I'd rather have real information about views to better make decisions regarding my listings. Just following the thread to see how this plays out.
