Will ebay notify watchers

I’ve decided to do a sale on items that have multiple watchers. I do not have a store,  so I have to go in and manually markdown my items. Will eBay notify those watchers that the items have been discounted?

Dont think they will without a store.  But if they are watching they should know if you changed the price.  Best regards

Hello, @discountme.

There are a couple things to say:

1) You can't "officially" discount items without an eBay store...

2) So if you lower the price they would have to look at the item themselves... Manually.

3) Watchers will get notifications if the itemis ending soon.

4) Ebay has a bunch of spring deals - look into it so maybe your item will be discounted anyway (and eBay pays for the discount I think.)

To tell you the truth I am not completely sure. It is just that the last few days ago eBay has had percentages off $25+ plus I don't know if they are still doing it, just go to the main eBay page and you see the banners there... Whatever the banners say is the deal of the day (A rhyme that was completely accidental). That may have just been a limited thingymijig, because I don't see it now. Keep checking the banner! and if there is a deal read up on it - there are always restrictions!

Depends on if they have email preferences set to  block certain ebay messages 
Not everyone wants nonstop ebay messages & on my buying account they are nonstop,  but I want some of these messages so I suffer through.

You don't need a store for ebay to send messages about prices being dropped
Doesn't even have to be in my watchlist. I get them if I just viewed the item

This seller has no store & it is not in my watch list but they lowered the price & I did get the email because I viewed it.

ebay offers  coupons occasionally
Important to understand they offer different types
1st link is a coupon going on now, you have to pay to play on this one
The list of sellers are covering the coupon just like a retail store Macy's,  Kohl's etc. it is coming out of their pocket to run in this coupon event.
Click the link and see what sellers you are allowed to use this coupon for & the restrictions.
These sellers are out of our league,  these are big sellers

Other coupons that they have recently offered last one being March 27th will offer a percent off  and it is ebay who is picking up the coupon discount not the sellers.
for those you don't have to do anything.
If a buyer purchases from you on the day the coupon is valid then you still receive your full amount for the item & ebay picks up the difference .
