some of my listings are getting views but no one is buying them? why. (dropshipping)

I am strictly a buyer...and I have bought a lot over the years ( 3 different Ebay accounts)..I don't buy often from sellers that use stock pics..it tells me it's being drop-shipped and if I have questions, they are usually ignored since the item is not at the sellers home or business...
That's just me..

If I can get an item somewhere else for a slightly higher price and save weeks of time in shipping, I spend the money.
I steer clear of all Amazon partner sellers and pay the premium to get it fulfilled by Amazon for the same reason.
I realize that I could be saving money by catering to drop shippers but for some reason I can't get over having to wait a week or more for something I want, even when I don't need it in a hurry.
Drop shipped items are always where the problems start when it comes to returns and shipping damage, too.

what should i do then

I honestly don't know. I realize you probably can't keep a ton of inventory hanging around, and eBay makes it difficult for you to cultivate a brand, but I also recognize the names of sellers that go the extra mile and go out of my way to help them with my reviews and feedback.
YouTube videos go a long way for me, especially when the wait is not outrageously long. I think two weeks is about the point where I consider lead time excessively long.

The title promises, or at least hints, at more value than the actual listing shows.
So either the item is attractive, but over priced.
Or the item is fairly priced, but there is disappointment in the details.

OK I looked at your orbital sander. It is about $60 and I didn't look at the shipping time. I can buy it from Home Depot for $37 and probably pick it up today. I can buy it cheaper than you from Amazon and get it delivered to my house in two days.
You have to be competitive when you're selling items people can buy elsewhere.

When drop shipping is your business plan, you need to understand that you are not that drop shipper's only user. This means that you are not listing a unique item, but one that many sellers are selling also.

I have been buying here for almost 20 years. I view at least 100 listings for every 1 that I actually buy.
A "view" on eBay is exactly the same as someone walking down the street looking in the store windows.

None of your listing are for a high demand low availability item and they just get lost among all the others. It's probably just random that anybody doing a search would come across yours. There are over 27,000 listings for sunglasses and over 14 million for cell phone cases.

OZARR.....
Unfortunately, it is not easy to be a successful seller on Ebay any more. The competition is fierce--and drop shipping is something many buyers dislike--for good reasons.
I just do not know how you are going to overcome these problems--using your current Business Model.

If I can order something straight out and have it delivered to my door or pick it up in person, why would I pay a middle man extra money?

Why ask a question that cannot possibly be answered?

There are too many reason to list here why a person would look but not buy. Usually it is because of the price. Think about it, you go to a store and look at 100 items, how many do you actually walk out with ?
