I swear 25%+ of the time, while trying to list on eBay, it crashes. I develop the listing, add pictures, etc and then when I try to save it, it acts like it is thinking. Then, all of a sudden, the "It not you, it's us" splash page or "We Looked Everywhere" page comes up and everything I just did is go. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!!!
Previously, it wouldn't save my descriptions when I published a listing. Then, there was the issue where the descriptions were replaced with a "Puffer Jacket Boy Looked Everywhere" description after they were published.

aving an issue for one reason or another but the rest of the site is still available. A Crash is when the entire site goes down.Yeah, but if I try to go to anywhere else, it is blank, non-functional.
FYI - seems to be working fine this morning.
That would likely be a problem that is local to you, not the entire site crashing.
Even though you can still stream TV, doesn't mean that nothing is wrong with your internet connection. You can contact your provider and have them test your connection. They can do that from their offices.
You also might try clearing your cache and cookies. That will help with the clutter.
I sincerely hope this issue clears up soon for you.

The problem can also be your antivirus software, your ISPs security software, and even a virus infection as well as Ebay.
Something is likely causing a timeout on a request to Ebay.

I am sure you already tried a different browser?
I am using Edge on my desktop. Was in the listing tool today for another 6 hours. Not one error or delay.

No, your work doesn't save unless you hit "save as draft" at the bottom. I have had this stoppage interrupt my listings at least 50 times in the last week. Like I said, I run into the problem like some when doing a listing. I will put half an hour to an hour into refining my pictures and work only to find that when I hit "save as draft" it just sits there thinking, losing all the information I just entered. Once it saves it to the draft it is OK but it doesn't do it unless you hit the "save as draft" button at the bottom or go ahead and list it. I have lost over 20 hours of listing work the past 3 weeks while putting up with this problem. I do most of my work from 10pm to 2am, just for the record. I even changed browsers to Chrome because technical help said it was more stable than Edge, but there has been no difference. I have spent some 3 hours on the phone with technical help and they still don't have it fixed. My other programs and tabs are not affected, just the Ebay ones. Usually, I can go back in 2 or 3 minutes and it is fine. One technical help person did say that the Norton VPN has been causing problems for some, and I do use Norton. Maybe that is the problem. I just hope they get this resolved. Until then, I guess I will have to save my work every 5 or 10 minutes when doing a listing just to keep from losing that newly entered information. Very frustrating to see the kid in the orange jacket so many times!

Same old problem came back up tonight while trying to save a draft and while trying to list an item. What a waste of time.

7 days straight it goes down during the day. Sometimes for 10 minutes sometimes for over an hour. No VPN, tried 3 computers. There have been numerous complaints over the last week

Just another variable to consider:
usually when this listing error happens to me my wifi signal is really low, as in, I'm too far away from the router.

So this has been going on for me for a month now. What I have pretty much come to the conclusion is that Ebay changed their security and is now blocking known VPN connections. This is not uncommon for companies to do this. I won't go in to a lot of detail on how I determined this, and Ebay seems not to want to acknowledge this. It also may be something to do with the last Microsoft update and the firewall/Windows Defender in combination. I am still trying to figure this out. Try using Edge without the VPN on (must have it off BEFORE you start the listing). Doing this has worked every time for me so far. All other browsers do not work for me even with the VPN off but I think that is how it saves the cookies. Is anyone that is experiencing this issue NOT using a VPN?

I use IP Vanish and believe that is the issue. Ebay, like many sites has stated recognizing and blocking some VPN IP's. Try using Edge without the VPN and see what happens. Make sure the VPN is off BEFORE you start a listing.

This has been a topic on the tech issues forum for several weeks. As described there, it only happens to certain users (regardless of device, browser, cookies, etc.), and only while using the listing page. I think some folks have actually tried listing via their phone and have been successful while their laptop/desktop fails.
So eBay says "since its only certain users, it must be the users, not eBay." Nobody that it's happening to believes that.

I'm on Edge too, and have been seeing the exact same thing for several weeks.

No problem here.
The posters that keep saying that they system "crashes", simply don't understand what that means. They are just having problems in specific places on the site. I'm not sure why they don't understand, if the system crashed they would not be able to post here or see anything anywhere on Ebay.

That is still an issue local to you, your software, hardware and internet provider. Maybe your modem or router is malfunctioning. I really don't know as I'm certainly not techy, that is my husbands job. But you may get someone who understands this stuff to take a look at your system.

Try a different browser.
