Why is there no way to upload evidence AGAINST a buyer?

eBay hosts images for nearly every type of correspondence but one: If a buyer returns an item destroyed, you can file a complaint that eBay will promptly ignore, and make it easy on themselves by NOT ALLOWING YOU TO UPLOAD PHOTOS to prove the damage claim.

I ship with insurance. eBay shipped this back. Perhaps eBay put insurance on the package? I'll never know since they're not even serious enough about my claim to allow me to submit a photo to support that claim.

You CAN upload a picture on the Report Buyer form, and EBay returned my money when a buyer did a shoddy return that damaged the item.

What was the total monetary value?  eBay has been known to pay off both the seller and the buyer for low dollar amounts.   A few hundred or a few thousand...no way.

The only person who can collect the insurance is the person who bought it. I didn't buy the return label, so if anyone wants to say it was damaged by anyone other than the buyer, they need handle the claim.

And that's why I said "More often..." Nothing on ebay is 100%. I tend to get cases awarded to me too (or as another member stated ebay pays out both parties) based on my long time status. But it'd be foolish to assume that will happen to every ebay member.

Comments like that make me want to start using a PO Box again. When you have a common name using a PO Box can keep you safe from threats; implied or real.

Listen--It's obvious that you are angry, and there is not ONE seller on this forum who hasn't gotten angry at least once during their selling career here on eBay. In fact, some of us live in a perpetual state of fury at the injustices and ridiculousness here.  What you need to understand is that although it may seem that the advice given here is unfriendly sometimes--the simple truth of the matter is that the POLICY'S are unfriendly towards sellers right now.  

I realize that it can be hard not to hear what you want, and expect to hear--but it is necessary to face the truth and to learn how to cope with your brain, rather than allowing your emotions and your anger to be in charge.

Unreasonable, unprofessional, and hostile sellers are part of the reason that eBay slammed the lid and closed the doors, as far as negotiations and fighting cases. Some people always have to win--they always have to have the last word, and they are always in the right (even when they clearly aren't).  And please forgive me for jumping to conclusions, but you do seem to be a person who is, maybe, just a little bit difficult to deal with. I don't even know what that picture is--but it doesn't look damaged to me--where is the before picture?

I am not saying that your complaint against the buyer isn't valid, but threatening a buyer and bragging that you know where they live? Not only is this completely unprofessional behavior, but it is also pretty ignorant. It makes us all look bad, and its sad that you are going to let one little incident with a buyer incite so much anger and ill-will. Get over it and move on. OR find a way to intelligently and professionally deal with it. Stomping your feet, and making your little idle threats while sitting at your keyboard is absurd. 

You are fighting and lashing out at the very people who are trying to help you--people who don't even work for eBay--other sellers here. Does that make sense? You are on a public forum, threatening the customers on eBay. Does that seem smart?  And instead of listening or at least trying to understand the advice that has been given to you here--you are ignoring any helpful ideas, and are instead starting petty little arguments and creating hard feelings.  How exactly is your behavior helping anyone here?

Honestly, I think it can more often than not.

Look at the sellers we see coming here to complain, and how quickly it turns out they’ve messed up or have a bad attitude or poor practices...

Certainly it’s no different for the CS reps.

 I truly believe that if one states their case reasonably and professionally, and has a clear listing with strong pics and descriptions, plus good feedback/DSRs showing a solid history... that person will either win or get one of the courtesy refunds.Moreover, these are the types of sellers who have good practices and cookie jar insurance that these things rarely happen and are survivable when they do; even if the outcome isn’t as desired.
