Why is it that eBay is NO longer removing ads that violate terms of service even after repeated reports?
For instance Reselling Carfax reports are illegal and a violation of terms on ebay for Goverement IDs among a host of other violations, and have always removed them inthe past , but recently even though illegal still allow those ads to exsist? why is this eBay? is it because you need the money?
Below ar ejust some of the ads they seem togo on and never removed.

A CarFax report is not a Government ID.

Can you link the ebay policy where it is restricted? They are certainly breaking the contract they have with Carfax doing that, but it doesn't make it illegal, and as mentioned there is no Government ID involved.

Yes right here the first two items under NOT allowed in red are carfax an autochecks.

Its classified as a Government ID violation and no matter how you look at it this violates a lot more than that its illegal to resell these and even more to use the Carfax name to do so along a host of other things so defending it is useless!

I sauspect it s because there are 1.1 billion listings on eBay, and if they are like any other customer support organization they probably "triage" community complaints.
At companies that I have worked for, requests for remediation had an incident count - and the more incidents that were reported by different people, the more attention the issue got.
I would not be surprised if eBay operates the same way, and that some reports simply never rise to a level where anyone takes action.

Last time I checked, selling counterfeits and brand name reproductions were illegal also, but Ebay seems to have that market cornered too.

Try contacting CarFax directly, let them in on your concerns.

So we all agree eBay is closing here eyes to these auctions and reports filed. They are no better than the dealer down the street selling something illegal and allowing this to happen after being notified. Shame on you eBay! You used to have integrity and dignity now your just a business trying to make money so you put your values up for sale!

I see this still has not been resolved.
Soon lots of people working at Experian in chicago will have their jobs cut because someone here is eating up their jobs by posting this illegal items Carfax and Autocheck reports galore!

The policy prohibiting government IDs and licenses includes a lot of other items (such as courier uniforms etc.) that could be used to impersonate workers.
But, it doesn't prohibit carfax or autocheck reports. They are not mentioned at all.
If those companies don't allow reports to be sold like this, then they probably need to report the listings under VeRO policy.
