Hi everyone,
For some reason my sales have dropped TERRIBLY within the past month. I seem to never get offers anymore (even though all of my listings DO allow offers) and instead the only sales I seem to make are the ones I send an offer out on. According to my Performance stats my quantity sold comparing this month to the previous month has dropped 61.5%. My impressions have actually gone up 23.4% and page views have dropped only slightly.
I've been listing the same types of items as usual (I focus on clothing) and pretty much the same quantity as usual.
Does anybody have any idea what might be going on?? I was really starting to enjoy the income from eBay and am really missing it now. I don't understand how I was doing so well for awhile and now my sales have literally dropped 60% for seemingly no reason.
I would appreciate ANY input, thanks so much!

Almost the same situation here, even now (June 2021) that the pandemic is not much of a problem. Since Ebay switched to management payments I have been going down from $1,800 average a month now it is in $184. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. I have been in Ebay since more than 15 years and this is the worse it has ever been. I tried everything, I do same day shipping, free first class shipping, great customer service. Good commercial items for sale. Nothing helps.

SALES DOWN DRASTICALLY - I read through the responses and I have not heard 1 response that gives these thought to why sales may be down.
- FEES ARE SO HIGH NOW THAT SELLERS ARE RAISING PRICES TO OFFSET HIGHER FEES, FEES ON TAXES COLLECTED, FEES ON SHIPPING COSTS
- I'M FAIRLY CERTAIN that since MP has been instituted shipping times have gotten DRAMATICALLY worse, sellers are holding goods before shipping, I see one LONG TIME seller who even states in his listings, every single listing, that shipping time is 5 days due to the new payment processing, AND I believe some sellers are even waiting longer to ship out items and rightfully so (no instant payments - say goodbye to instant shipments)
MY OPINION is the buyer is seeing no incentive to purchase on this site anymore, higher costs, longer wait times.
NOW, I do believe that much that has been said is true, summer is slower, I dont believe the economy is the issue, I mean look at the stock market, from what I see, THINGS ARE BOOMING NOW, the financial aspect I dont buy into that that is a reason for slow sales.
I HAVE NEVER HEARD a post that states because of the new programs instituted that that may be an issue, and I believe its a BIG ISSUE. Buyers have lots of choices, and I believe they now see that ebay offers nothing special as far as product, ( I think lots of smaller sellers that brought a good product mix to the table have moved on) AND they are now waiting longer for items to be shipped out. AMAZON does it VERY FAST, as do other sites.
EBAY I feel did not consider that their programs actually HURT the buyer experience, not enhance it like they tried to sell it. Its going to effect your sales. 1 bad buying experience and typically they wont come back, and I think a bad buying experience would be waiting for 10 or more days for an item to be received, anyway, for me it would.

Hi @cynabagel
Sorry to hear about your sales.
Just wanted to encourage you to open a new thread so your issues will get addressed by the community. This thread is almost a year old and there are those who don’t realize that and will answer the original poster and not notice your current concern.

Yes EXTREMELY BAD,
Ebay got rid of promoted listings and the effect is the AI is showing unrelated junk to cross sell. I have complained to Ebay. We all should.
