Why do they continue to make everything worse???

I live in Canada.  I have the option to use both the US & Canadian sites.  On the US site, when I wish to provide the shipping costs, I have to give 1 cost for shipping within Canada & Internationally.  What???  So I either just choose Canada; which is telling the international community I will not ship to them or I choose international & end up inflating the true Canadian cost.  Since we can no longer send an invoice after purchase, I cannot adjust the S/H for a Cdn buyer.   Why did they take away the option of sending an invoice, too?

For those who try to give the answer that I should just use the Canadian site, I might run into the same difficulty but with US buyers.  I think I would have to provide one international cost there, too.  Also, using both sites allows me double use of the free listings.

Offering free S/H would still not work because I would not have the option to give free S/H to Canada unless I limit shipping only to US / Canada.  I won't offer free international S/H - only a reduced cost.

That's not accurate.

When you list on .com under domestic (domestic = shipping to the US) you'll select flat rate and choose either "standard shipping from Canada" or "economy shipping from Canada" depending on the service you're using and average transit time.

Under international you'll choose flat ship, then you can specify different costs to Canada and to the rest of the world (worldwide), and if desired you can choose custom locations.

I wish Canada and the US would allow domestic rate shipping through the USPS.  It's kinda ridiculous to charge so much for the same service.  It greatly reduces the amount of business I can do in Canada.

PS.  Can you please stop sending your smoke down here! 😉

As @wastingtime101 posted, you can have 1 shipping service and rate for Canada and another service and rate for other countries.    You can split up the other countries although you are limited.  For example, you could list expedited international to ship to Canada. Then use standard international shipping to Europe and the UK. Then a rate for economy international shipping to Asia and Australia and Japan.

If you just have one rate and service for Canada and then a worldwide rate and service, make sure that you do the Canada rate first so that is the one that shows to Canadians in search.

Item 354926877020 has one rate Canada and another rate for overseas.

Item 354631538190 is set up a bit differently.

Off topic..you should check this post on the .ca board as there is a temporary decrease for US tracked packet rates.  https://community.ebay.ca/t5/Seller-Central/Tracked-Packet-USA-eBay-s-special-rate/m-p/499504#M14821...

@sakic92710

I'm curious...you've been given a solution to your question/complaint but you haven't commented. Have you tried fixing any of your listings so that you could give a separate price for Canada and for other international countries?  As we've mentioned, it is possible (and always has been) possible to do that.
