Why did eBay get rid of Promoted listings?

Starting several days ago, the feature "Promoted listings" which appeared at the bottom of the "Create listing" tool on the Seller Hub is no longer there. The feature "Volume pricing" which gives a discount when more than one item is purchased is still there but "Promoted listings" in which a seller can raise his ranking and visibility by paying a little extra in listing fees on fixed price items is no longer there. Since it disappeared while they were working on a new beta version of "Create listing" I suspect that has something to do with it. I thought it was an excellent new feature that was introduced about 3-4 years ago.

Promoted Listings are still there - you can create a campaign for PL standard for eligible listings?

Classic listing template still allows us to add to PLS - have not used the new template, etc.  Are you listing from the new template?  Mobile app?

It's still at the bottom of mine - I'm using the new form:

You can always create a campaign in your advertising dashboard:  https://www.ebay.com/sh/mktg/pl

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Why did eBay get rid of Promoted listings?

Says on mine after some research that I cannot promote because I am below seller standards.   Which is quite funny, I’m below cause people keep opening cases against me for eBay standard envelope under $20 shipping for sportscards.  Something introduced by eBay to me.  Worst shipping program ever.  Half of them get tracking delivered, half of them show up with incomplete tracking. I have bought over 100 of them, half say delivered, half don’t, Ive received every one of them though which leads me to believe that certain scumbags  simply open a case if not received

I guess I should have just closed the cases and gave the thieves their money back quicker. eBay has really gone down the toilet for me, at least.  I was wondering all week how I haven’t even got one offer, when I usually get 20-30 a week.  My eBay is completely ruined.  Yay.

You’re responding to a thread that is over a year old. If you need assistance it’s best to start your own thread rather than dragging up an old zombie thread. Thank you .

And thats a problem how? In my opinion, Promoted listings is the epitome of everything wrong with this site. You obviously dont sell enough to make a living, so you are likely padding welfare or retirement income with ebay sales - My guess is 80% of people selling here could go get a part time REAL job with paid vacation, 401K and Health Insurance and make more money and be happier than what they are with all the stresses and pitfalls of selling here..
