Is there any rational reason at ALL for this idiocy?

Auctions with no bids end themselves automatically so no need for bulk ending.
Besides, assuming you started the auction at your minimum acceptable price, why would you end it early since savvy bidders wait until the very end to bid? Or do you like losing sales?

Because I WANT to.
Say there's severe weather coming in, or a seller has a life altering event, it would be NICE to be able to bulk end all auctions with no bids, don't you think?
Also (in this case) because eBay gives ZERO warning you're about to list an auction you've already listed.
If I only HAVE the one item and someone bids then the dupe appears. Savvy?

You can't bulk end fixed price listings as well.
My guess is that since ending a listing requires a reason to specify, eBay doesn't like if it you plan to use a blanket reason for the numerous listings you plan to end at the same time... regardless how valid. They want you to go thru the work and individually state why you need to end that listing.
That limitation will also avoid instances of sellers accidentally selecting too many listings to simultaneously end... since ending a listing is irreversible.

You can end multiple fixed listings in selling manager, I am guessing that you can do the same in sellers hub.
It isn’t necessary to give a reason for ending a FP listing.

@ymeagainlord I take it you tried bringing up several Auction items in the Bulk Editor and then looked at the Action tab and tried the Remove Listings function? Pic below of several fixed priced listings I just Relisted and found that feature ... I would assume they have it for Auctions too.

Remove Listings is to remove them from the bulk editing process. It doesn't end them.
I've always thought it strange that I can bulk end FP listings but not auctions. Never did come up with a potential reason why.

Thanks for the explanation, I've never tried it, I just saw it when I Relisted.
