Why are my numbers so unbelievably bad?

Hey guys, hope you're all doing well . This is my first post, thanks for having me.

So I've started trying to sell on Ebay in the last week, I've been pricing very very competitively. I look for prices that are selling hundreds of the item and I price well below the price they're sellint at. I also have professional listings that look great.

Not only do I not get any sales, I hardly even get any views at all.... like 3 or 4! And these are popular selling items I'm selling for some of the lowest prices on Ebay.

What the heck is going on here? I'm really bummed... I thought if I priced so aggressively I would certainly be seeing sales fairly soon.

Any tips or advice or ideas? I don't know what's going on.

BTW, your not using the River for drop shipping via Prime are you? (It looks like it).

If you are, you won't be long for eBay or the River. On eBay you'll get negs for that and the River you'll get suspended from there for doing that (policy violation).

So you've only been selling for one week, have only one feedback, only a few listings for sale, and can't understand why sales aren't coming in?   Did  you think it was going to be easy?  Even if you have the lowest price doesn't mean someone wants to buy it.

You have 8 items listed and they have only been on a couple of days so its quite normal that you haven't sold anything yet.  I don't think any of those items are 'hot selling items' that are going to go quickly.

Did you compare your pricing to other listings on eBay? I checked a few of your listings and your prices are higher than many of the other listings.  People don't necessarily buy the cheapest one listed but you might not be priced as competitely as you think.

@seastewar_805

You are using stock photos, and item location is simply USA.

This screams "Drop Shipper" and that puts a bad taste in buyers mouths.

Do you have the items in hand, or are they being shipped from China ?

As a buyer I would be hitting the back button.

You have only been selling for a week....

Most of your titles are a hot mess.

Your selling the exact same drop shipped item with same photos and ad wording as several other sellers and you don’t have the lowest price on any of the items.

There are 11 AmazonBasics photo studios listed on the USA eBay site right now.

Yours is the highest priced of the 11, and is 15% higher than the best price.

Only 3 have sold in the last 90 days, and yours is more expensive than all 3 sold items.

Yours is not even close to being "well below the price they are selling at".

Yeah I agree - my first clue would have been the AmazonBasics items for sale. Dude - seriously? Smiley Very Happy

If you want to sell on Ebay then get stuff of your own to sell on Ebay. Take your own pictures so people know its really you selling stuff that you really have. What your doing now is not going to be the way to succeed here.

You need to be patient. When I first started I thought that just because I listed items they will sell right away. I had to realize that Ebay is a large gallaxy and I'm just a little star. Now today I have established good feedback and sell at least $1,500 every month. Good luck

Yes they do but you won't see them if your location shows as Portugal because they are shipping only in the US.

Not to pick on you, but if what you sell is what shows on this id, there is no way you're making $1500 month. Not even gross. Even if you have 3 id's selling the same items with similar FB scores will you make that kind of money here in used clothing. But if you do, great!

Your prices actually aren't that low - I googled several of your items (the pressure cooker and backpacks) and my first couple results were cheaper than yours and included free shipping. Everything was cheaper on the River, which buyers might prefer for items like this. Personally I would prefer to buy this type of thing from a huge retailer for $5-20 cheaper than a new eBay seller.

I've sold items at various price points and it's uncommon for sellers who overprice their items to make sales over those who sell things cheaply. There's a good middle ground where people won't think something's too pricey or suspiciously cheap, but you have to supplement that with good keywords and photos.

Taking good, well-lit pictures of your items is preferable to using stock photos. It's fine to include stock photos alongside pictures you've taken yourself but when all you have is the stock photo you look like an out-of-country dropshipper. Most buyers want to see a picture of the actual item they're purchasing.

Finally, it takes time to sell things on here. You'll go crazy if you wait for sales - just install the eBay app on your phone and forget about it until you start getting sold notifications.
