I know that Ebay has a way of suppressing listings in searches, but they are literally disappearing from my Store! If I search for an active listing ID in Ebay, it's not visible. The only place I can find these "lost" listings are in my ACTIVE listings in the Seller Hub. I did recently have my store on Vacation mode which hid all my listings, and toggled back to live listings on Wednesday. I had over 1,550 listings before vacation, now only 1,450 are showing up in searches. What happened to 100 of my listings?

One possibility is when you come back from vacation, some listings lag a bit coming back.

It is true, eBay said they would remove stale listings, but I wonder if removed listings would still be visible in Active listings? Just a thought.

Check your view counter. If that's at zero then you have a real problem, end the listing and sell similar revising title even if just moving the order of words, moving pictures in different order, make the bots think it is a new listing.

If eBay was ending your stale listings they would disappear completely. You wouldn't see them in your Active or Unsold.
The most likely scenario is that the listings are still re-indexing after you removed the vacation hold.
Go to the bulk editor and edit the listings that are still invisible. That should force them to re-index right away.

I believe Ebay started removing very old listings from the site earlier this year.
If your listings were a couple of years old, that could be why.

THIS week i had 2,600 listings in unsold. I was in the middle of relisting them and they all vanished never to be seen again. No idea what happened. all that work i did is wasted, should i count the weeks, months i spent listing them? all the money lost ? bet ebay will still want payment though.

hi
i only just noticed this post. i had the same problem for years and dealt with customer support on this issue. in the end i contacted the corporate office and voila the issue seemed to have gotten cleared up. that was one and one half years ago approximately. presidents day weekend to be exact it was dealt with. i am still finding things that disappeared. the csd actually watched me while i was doing the relisting at my end. 17 percent of my product dropped off the site. wow he said how did that happen..it took me ages to even get to that point. could never figure why if i relisted my item count got screwed up..dumb i know but i was too busy to notice until one day i did an inventory on certain kinds of items and realized the 10 percent were missing. it went from bad to worse ..now its sort of ok but i still watch like a hawk to make sure. i still think its imperfect. i end my listing and dont do gtc so they are fresh. they have made this site so impossible.
now my titles are missing from items i listed and relisted..how did that happen..omg ..no wonder people arent buying. they cant find anything. i cant stop shaking my head every time i look at my stuff to revise i notice somethings change..LEAVE IT ALONE! omg!
someone needs to let me know why the brand titles are disappearing!

Have you been seeing the "16 months without a sale" notice on your listings?
Do you check your listings from time to time for duplications?
Do you keep a copy of your listings (at least the pictures and descriptions) somewhere separate from eBay?
When we moved across country, I did a thorough inventory of my book listings. I had ten bookcases, six shelves each, and about 20 paperbacks on each shelf.
Nothing went out there until it was listed.
But somehow I had only about 800 titles listed, and ~1200 shelved.
(Most of which really were dogs).
That was in 2014. I do the checks more often these days.
