Why are bad buyers getting positive feedback ?

Hi.  I have a buyer who has ‘100%’ positive feedback....however reading through it so many sellers she has dealt with she is a serial non-payer.  They have expressed this but the feedback is positive ?  Are they unable to give negative even though she’s a non payer ?  So far at day 16 she hasn’t paid me and I’m getting no response from her.
Im totally new to this community thing so apologies if this question is in the wrong place.

Buyers can ONLY get positive FB.  Sellers are not allowed to leave negative or neutral FB on buyers for any reason.

Make sure you have your buyer requirements set on the strictest rule for non paying bidders.  Which is 2 in 12months.

Re: Why are bad buyers getting positive feedback ?

Sellers r only allowed 2 leave positive feedback no negatives or neutrals
Buyer feedback is pretty useless in picking out non- payers and problem buyers
except read feedback buyer left for other sellers
when u find one put on BBL

Re: Why are bad buyers getting positive feedback ?

You need to open an unpaid item case against the buyer. Go to the item in question and follow the links for opening an unpaid item. This way when it is closed by eBay you'll be credited for your FVF's and the system will relist your item for you. Plus a strike will go on the buyers record. That is your best option.

No reason for you to have waited this long to get paid. I have this set up automatically on my store when someone doesn't pay after four days. You really don't need to do anything else. Do not message the buyer any further either. Best of luck to you....

Re: Why are bad buyers getting positive feedback ?

Sellers don't have the option to leave neuts and negs for buyers. Sellers are also not allowed to leave a positive rating with neg comments, those type of feedbacks are removed by ebay if reported..

By the way, this is the US site, ebay.com, not ebay UK.. The feedback rules are the same though..

I’m logged into my uk account and pressed the community button.  If I’m in the wrong place then eBay has a faulty system.  Thanks for your info though.

Re: Why are bad buyers getting positive feedback ?

The biggest problem is these types sellers who are leaving a useless negative comment under a positive for their non-paying "buyers".  Not only is it a waste of time and a policy violation, but they aren't doing the rest of us any favors.  If they would do things the right way, her ID would be automatically blocked for any subsequent sellers who have their buyer requirements set up correctly.

I know there's a lot to learn about selling here but this should be the first class.

Re: Why are bad buyers getting positive feedback ?

Even though you think a buyer who changed their mind on a purchase is a bad buyer, Ebay does not allow buyers to be publicly ridiculed. The Ebay feedback system has two purposes, to grade sellers on a transaction, and to thank buyers only. You do not need to wait around 16 days to see if a buyer pays. File a non paying bidder dispute instead.
