While listing I get error: "The email address you entered isn't linked to a PayPal account.."

I have used 2 Paypal accounts to list on ebay for about 8 years (1 business and 1 personal).
Today I am trying to change the PRICE on a few listings and I get the error: "The email address you entered isn't linked to a PayPal account. If you don't have a PayPal account, you'll need to set one up with this email address so that buyers can pay you."

The listings were already active with no problems but now that I am trying to make a change I get this error. Also notice if I uncheck the "Require immediate payment with Buy It Now" error goes away but I should not get this error since this e-mail address has been working for years.

When I search for info everyoene says to link your Paypal to your ebay account but that is for buying purposes, I have used both my Paypal accounts to sell and only now I get this error, any ideas?

Sometimes things get unlinked and account preferences changed by who know what preocess. I've had my options changed before without my knowledge. Try this.

Go back to edit the listings and scroll down to the payment section. See what email address is listed there and check for typos. If that’s all good, go to you account preferences and make sure that same email address is entered under PayPal account. It could be you had one PayPal account in your account profile  and another in the listing.

There are no typos. The paypal account I have linked to my ebay is another one, I do not want to link this one as it is not my primary account. Also ebay itself says linking is for buying, for selling it says "Selling on eBay: You specify the payment method you accept from buyers when you list items for sale"

How to link your PayPal and eBay accounts

You can link your PayPal account to your eBay account to pay selling fees, receive payments from buyers, and pay for items you buy.

Here's how to link your accounts:

1. Go to the PayPal account - opens in new window or tab section of Account in My eBay.
2. Select Link my PayPal account.
3. You'll be redirected to PayPal. Sign in to your PayPal account, and select Return to eBay. This will take you back to your account settings.
4. To confirm your accounts have been linked, look for the See your PayPal account summary option under PayPal account information. If you can see it, the accounts have been linked.

Wasn’t there someone the other day that was getting this error because they did not have tax information on their Paypal account?

I already had my Business account linked, but I am trying to use my personal account for this listing.
I tried unlinking my business account and linking my personal account but the personal account would not link.

Either way I need to have my Business account linked not my personal, I use ebay mostly as a business but for personal items I use my personal paypal. 

I already have active listings with my personal paypal and are working fine, but when I go to edit I cannot save any changes because of the error they are saying that e-mail address isn't linked to paypal account.

Try to end the current listing and start over with the new info?

I have listings in my eBay store that use two different paypal addresses.  You might go to paypal and link your different paypal addresses to each other.  We are a registered business and both of our paypal accounts are linked to each other for tax purpose I guess and perhaps that might be your solution?

Does your personal Paypal have a tax ID attached?

it uses my SSN. Also if I uncheck the require immidiate payment checkbox then I don't get the error

I also want to clarify that the eror is not about ebay and paypal accoutns not linked, the error says the E-MAIL address is not linked to a Paypal account, which is not the case but that's the error I get.

I sent them an email and they replied with a generic message about how to confirm my email address, I guess I will try to call either ebay or paypal

I have called ebay and am waiting for their technical support to look into this
