Which relisting method to use ?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm cutting my hiatus short and relisting all my listings I ended that are in my "Unsold" column.

I can get that done by either "Relist" or "Sell Similar".

Each will take from my free listings count, so what's the difference ?

I think "Relist" would be same listing and item number, "Sell Similar" would be new listing with new item number, correct ?

Views and watchers would reset to zero for both methods also, correct ?

Any benefit to using one method over the other ?

Which relisting method to use ?

"

Sell Similar is for listing a similar item using another item listing as a template, with the expectation of having to fill out some info to make the listing for the item I'm listing.

I am wanting to relist the same exact item and listing, so I would use Relist because I don't need to add or change anything. I just want to make the listing active again. I got it......

I don't have a store, and have never been to the Seller Hub.

Can I relist all in bulk at the Seller Hub ?

We're talking about 30 listings or so."

I've only had a store since day one.  If you can get to seller hub then click on 'unsold' to get the list of items you ended then you should be able to select them all and just click relist.  The software populates the relist group and you need to confirm it with another click.  If you want just relist one to see the sequence before you relist the rest.

Relist gets a new listing number.

The number of watchers will start over from zero, but if the original listing is on somebody's watch list, the entry will have a notice that the item has been relisted, with a link to the new listing.

Sorry to hear your mini "hiatus" was cut short.

You should be able to  bulk relist from Seller Hub, where "sell similar" would be doing each separate listing, correct?   Would think that would be a lot of work, but not certain how many listings you are talking about.

Don't use sell similar.   That's for creating a new listing using the existing listing as a template.

Just select them all and use relist unless you want to do them in smaller groups.

You can bulk relist either way. Relist or Sell Similar.

You just have to make sure the action drop down menu

is set for what you want.

If i'm not mistaken, "relist" keeps all the listing info the same, even the pictures while "sell similar" keeps only SOME of the listing info (minus the pictures?).

Thank you, that is exactly what I did. I went into Seller Hub, selected all, and relisted.

My first time in Seller Hub, it was awesome ! Saw all of my metrics and reports I have access to.

Don't know why I waited so long......has me thinking about opening a store.

Sorry @inhawaii but you are mistaken.  Sell similar creates a clone, pictures and all.  I use this every time rather than relist.  Just be sure to delete the item from your unsolds to avoid listing it again.
