Where to find a Distributor?

I've been selling on eBay for a about a year to a year and a half now and have run out of things to sell. I have recently found out that they way that I would like to sell on eBay is by drop shipping with a Distributor. I have done tons of research and cannot find out how to get one. I am looking to sell some sort of electronics (I realize that's a hard one to do, but I know a lot about them). I know that no one here will share their supplier (but if you do that'd be great), but I would just like to know how/where to find a distributor.

You would need to get on the phone with a sales rep from a manufacturer or authorized distributors and tell them what you want to do. The problem therein is when the distributor sells out of product and you don't know it and you get orders that you can't have shipped.

You can also walk into manufacturers and ask to talk to a sales rep.

There are huge trade shows that may have thousands of manufacturers or distributors to talk to though I don't know if those have been held lately due to the pandemic. For these, you probably need to have your company registered with your state and have a tax ID.

If my understanding is correct on Drop shipping, you have to own the items that are shipped from the warehouse. This should cover it;

If you have to ask then perhaps that is not the business model for you.  If you can drop ship then so can others so at the end of the day, apart from not being in control of your inventory, the margins are very low indeed.

"Drop shipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay.".

"Those who enter the arena unarmed or unprepared are quickly dispatched."

I did not say you can not drop ship and I think the first line covers what I said about owning the stock you are shipping. That was all I said.

Drop shipping, also known as product sourcing, is when you buy stock from a supplier and work with them to send items directly to your buyers without ever handling them yourself.

Drop shipping, where you fulfill orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay. Remember that if you use drop shipping, you’re still responsible for the safe delivery of the item within the time frame stated in your listing and for the buyer’s overall satisfaction with their purchase.

However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay. Activity that doesn’t follow eBay policy could result in a range of actions including but not limited to: administratively ending or canceling listings, hiding or demoting all listings from search results, lowering seller rating, buying or selling restrictions, loss of buyer or seller protections, and account suspension. All fees paid or payable in relation to listings or accounts on which we take any action will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account.

If in the "tons of research" you've done you've not figured out how or who to get the stuff you want to dropship, then you're not ready.
