Where is my shipping cost???

Not sure what the sales tax percentage was so I used 8%, also not sure if you promoted the item and at what percent. I assumed you purchased the shipping label through eBay and the actual shipping cost was $25. I could not get exact but the following is close. With regards to the fees on sales tax and shipping there are 100's of postings on this forum that will explain that to you. You can also look at the details on the order to get the cost breakdown.

You got ebay'ed - Many people who sell here dont know how steep the ebay fees really are - They dont know you pay fees based on the ENTIRE AMOUNT of the sale - In watches category, you paid a standard 15% of the entire sale - In your case, it appears the entire sale would be $265 plus sales tax of approx $15(depending on the state and whether or not it was sold to a state that collects it)  - making the total sale approx $280. 15% of $280 = $42 - Now, if you decided to use Promoted Listings and promote your listing at 10% like ebay "recommends", then you would pay another $28 in fees, totaling $70 in fees, which would amount to a payout of approximately $190. Does this look like what happened to you?

Wow - if so, that means you paid almost 30% of the selling price of your watch in fees - welcome to ebay

When you successfully sell an item on eBay, the buyer pays (1) the price of the watch; (2) the shipping fee; and (3) the state sales tax if any.

The shipping fee is used by the seller to pay for shipping and the state sales tax is remitted by eBay to the state where the item is being delivered.  eBay's final value fee is charged based on the total amount the buyer paid the seller.

The shipping fee should have been in the total sale. Check your "Order Details" from this page:

https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS

The detail numbers look like this:

00-00000-00000

Click that to see the numbers/amounts/ etc....

I am not sure how eBay works with Korea and the transfer of the funds to the seller whether it is through a bank link or through something like Payoneer. As for the shipping however and wherever you get the label make sure you upload the tracking information into the order and mark it as shipped within your handling time.

@tead31,

I'm sorry this is happening ... but you don't have the real explanation yet, because the calculation from @dbfolks166mt assumed that you AND the buyer were both in the USA, but that doesn't appear to be the case, for either of you.

We don't have all the information we need yet, to be able to explain what happened.

Since you are not based in the USA, you can't purchase a shipping label from eBay USA. So the cost of the shipping label can't explain what happened. But, it wasn't $25. Your listing shows $20 shipping to the USA, and $30 to all the other countries I checked.

I checked the transaction on Terapeak, to confirm the selling cost, and it says there that the buyer paid $30 for shipping, not $20 (the cost for a USA buyer). Your listing has $30 set for International shipping. So I can't tell what country you have to ship it to. I assumed the UK, because the VAT (sales tax) rate there is pretty high, so that increases the amount of the buyer's payment.

Also, since you are not based in the USA, you have to pay an International fee of 1.45% of the buyer's payment (that's the rate for sellers in South Korea). And, I found that South Korea has VAT at 10%. Many countries with VAT or GST charge those fees on eBay's service fees as well as on purchased goods. So I assumed that eBay would have to charge you 10% VAT on your fees, to send to the South Korean government.

However, that still doesn't make the payout add up to $192. If you can provide more information, we may be able to figure this out.

Did you promote the listing? At what rate?

Where is my shipping cost???

Thx for kindness reply.

First, I was very angry. But now, only thing I want to know is there will be no problem if I use shipping service in my country (South korea) and I add tracking number in ebay.

And actually I didn't any promotion service in ebay, but I did not charge tex for watch. Because I just want to lower price for customer in USA.

Lastly, after I ship my item, there will be no addition charge? I am scared about if I try to transfer my balance in ebay to my wallet, there would be unshown charge..

Where else are you going to sell this item and not have 15% + taken off a selling price? You can pawn it for about a 50% + loss. You could have tried another platform, but I suspect its 15% + so the bottom line, it's the cost of doing business. You have to add that into the selling cost or accept it.

Are you signed up for Payoneer and attached it to your Managed Payments account so you can be paid?

Payoneer might charge fee's, I don't know, we don't use them in the US.

Have a great day.

No, you don't have to use Ebay shipping, you can purchase it anywhere.

Just be sure to use shipping that provides tracking all the way to the buyer and upload the tracking number to the order.

Have a great day.

@tead31, as the seller, it is not for you to charge tax or not charge tax. eBay charges the tax automatically, depending on where the buyer is having it shipped to.

Because the buyer paid $30 for shipping, it was not being shipped to the USA. What country are you sending it to?

Yes, you can buy the shipping label from the South Korea post office, and add the tracking number to eBay yourself. For international shipments, the post office is usually best.

As @kensgiftshop mentioned, have you registered with Payoneer yet? That is the only way you can receive the payment. It will be transferred to your Payoneer account. But it can take several weeks to complete that, if you haven't done it yet.

Where is my shipping cost???

I think there were basic problem that my account's country setting to USA but, I really live in Korea.

And buyer is live in USA

He paid $25 because this contract is made by custom offer, and I told me shipping cost is 25 dollars.

And I sigh up payoneer and authentication confirmed.

So, based on all of yours help,

I UNDERSTAND There will be no problem by using shipping company of my country if I add tracking number. And If there are no more problems, I can transfer my balance of ebay to my account through Payoneer.

Is it right?
