I’ve sold an item on eBay and ebay tells me I’ve been paid . Ebay sent me label to ship off item . Now I’ve sent item off . When I check status it tell me there is no pending payments. Wth! I’ve called PayPal they only saw one payment for another item . PayPal’s tell me to call ebay . I cal ebay the machine says go to their help que . This does not have anything on here for my situation. So therefore where is the money from sells being directed ?
This happened to us twice. We got notification from Ebay and Paypal on the phone app so we are packaging the item for some reason we went into Paypal and the payment was there then two minute later it was gone. The explanation we got was there was a problem with the payment and it was reversed but they don't know why or won't tell us. We think credit card company authorized the charge then noticed some problem and reversed the charge. I don't think any of these companies believe in audit trail. Instead of saying the payment has been reversed with a line item the whole payment just goes poof (think disappear) never to be seen again. You will get the runaround for sure. In both cases we caught them but we think we missed some.
Ebay doesn't send you a shipping label, you print it after your item payment is cleared by paypal. It sounds like you didn't confirm payment in your paypal account but rather were communicating with an email?
