I have a ton of leftover packing peanuts and bubble wrap from holiday shopping and wanted to know if anyone knew what to do with them? I don't want to throw these materials in the trash and don't ship enough items to pack my items. Any help would be appreciated.

Offer them for free on Craigslist, FB, NextDoor. Some seller would be happy to have them.

Some companies are using peanuts made of natural materials that dissolve in water. Have you tested them.

I've seen videos of the packing peanuts that dissolve in water, but I haven't checked if any of the ones I have dissolve

I collect peanuts and the air pillows from as many local retailers as I can. Recycling and saving money on shipping supplies. Win win.

I really dislike those peanuts, bubble wrap, air pillows or crunched up newspaper are all much better

I don't take the crumbly white Styrofoam peanuts. They are nasty

Sell them on Ebay.

We put stuff like that out that we do not want either by the dumpster at the warehouse or with our recycling bin - attached a sign that says FREE and it is always gone in a couple of hours.
People like FREE.

Create a listing and sell them!!!! I feel I should get 5% commission though for giving you the idea.

I have three people and one community college giving me their packing materials - peanuts, air pillows, bubble wrap etc., and I still run out.
You will have NO trouble getting rid of those packing peanuts - and thank you for doing that!

Get one of those steel deep watering troughs. Fill the bottom about half way up with the peanuts, cover with landscaping cloth, fill to just under the rim with potting soil. Now you have a nice, neat raised garden. Unless they are the cornstarch based peanuts, then they would just melt. 🙂
