I have seen a 70% loss of sales over the past four months.
There is no reason for this other than people are running scared.
Our economy has halted most spending and we will suffer for this.
Perhaps I should research other selling platforms and social media
which is something I have never done before.
I am (was) a power seller moving over 10,000 items yearly and part
of eBay for over 20 years.

Researching other platforms/venues is a good idea. One of the effects from the pandemic was the explosion in the number of ecommerce platforms available to buyers. I diversified across multiple venues and platforms long ago and while eBay used to represent about 90% of my sales that has slowly decreased to where that figure is now less than 20%. In the aggregate things are a little slower than normal everywhere but a large percentage of my items sell on local forums as well as specialized sites that target a specific set of the buyer community. While I still post on eBay I have no specific loyalty to them. I diversified so that I did not have all my eggs in one basket so to speak.
