Where are the International Buyers?

It's been a few weeks since I had a buyer from UK or Canada.

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this?

I had one International Buyer in weeks...from Poland...that's it.

It's nothing but domestic buyers weeks now.

I do get quite a bit of buyers every day.

But, to get 0 buyers now from other countries is not looking good.

I usually get about 10+ International buyers a week...UK especially.

Canada buyers...plus my 'repeat Canada buyers' has dried up weeks ago.

Re: Where are the International Buyers?

Great post.  I've noticed more and more patriots out and about, which I love to see.

Btw, Hyundai just opened a steel mill in Louisiana valued at $5.8 billion usd with 1,300 on-site jobs; and Hyundai is investing another $8 billion usd expanding Georgia EV plant, creating 8,500 on-site jobs and building another EV battery plant in Georgia with 3,500 on-site jobs.  This is just a tiny fraction of foreign companies investing in the USA market.  We have so much to be grateful for.

I had no domestic sales today.

I had two sales last week...UK and Canada...that's it.

Re: Where are the International Buyers?

I am used to at least 25+ International sales a week...not just two.

Lots of domestic sales last week.

Yea, there's a lot more of us patriots around these days.  It's become stylish.

I was conservative before it was cool.  Long before.

What so many miss is how the BIG world affects them.  It's not all about their little eBay account.

If the leadership in DC is right -- in six months we're all going to be doing really, really well.

Why don't they hope HE'S RIGHT?   Why don't they wish him (us) good luck?

I'm probably a neon fuchsia pinko commie by most MAGA standards, but I hope he's right.  So let me ask you this, and it's an earnest question: what would be YOUR measure of us "all doing really, really well" if asked 6 months from now whether or not our hope came true?  Obviously not just you or me or various random eBay sellers doing well, obviously not just this or that new auto plant opening in this or that state.  So then what?

-Seriously be thinking about your answer because I'm literally marking my calendar for September 26th to come back and see if you think we've reaped that great reward.

@sin-n-dex

As for the affects of tariffs... I need a furnace.

We added a heat pump to our electrically heated house about eight years ago, it has already paid for itself, although we still have working baseboards in most rooms, they don't turn on.

It also gives us airconditioning in the summer.

It is less efficient when temps drop below 0F /-15C.

And there are subsidies here in BC, possibly also in Ontario.

I got news for you... Trump won it with 49.8%,   Kamala Harris got 48.3% and 1.9% voted for third-party candidates, so more Americans voted against Trump than voted for him.

One more thing the population of Canada is about  39 million  people scattered  over a large land mass.  The largest city in the world is Tokyo Japan at 37 million and USA is 340 million.  Largest consuming nation is the USA followed by China and India.  While Europe is about  twice the  population of the  US - all the countries certainly don't sing or swing to the same ole song.

Re: Where are the International Buyers?

I'm just tired of the goal posts constantly being moved by that crowd.  But here's one individual making a fairly specific claim, and it reads like he truly believes it, so it's an interesting chance to see if goal posts get moved in real time.
EDIT: (Assuming eBay still exists, the internet still exists,  I still have access to it, and that it's not illegal to say anything but praise about you-know-who).  🤣  I mean I THINK it's safe to assume those things, but .....

Ahh, yer going for the 'future gotcha'.    LoL.

It's almost like I'm running for political office.

Well, I believe that the mods will shut this down soon, so I'll answer.

You already put down a BIG deal, the opening of jobs in 'this or that state'.

People live in 'this' and 'that' and they may be some of the few that want to work for a living, so it is a big deal to them.  I'd expect to see random job increases in BOTH this AND that state.   That would be bad, eh?

With the exception of California, New York state, Washington state and a few others.

Gas should be below $3 a gallon (again, exception California and New York).

We should be having half the number of drug deaths, we should be deporting a large part of the 750k already convicted and dangerous illegal criminals here, so crime should go down.

Europe will be spending their own money to defend themselves, and they won't hate us any MORE than they already do, so that's a win.  I think that both the middle east and Europe will be safer, more peaceful.   A tenuous peace maybe .. but peace nonetheless.

Six months is kind of quick, but this guy is moving at the speed of light.  Hopefully the home-grown enemies of the US won't delay him too much, but that will only delay I believe.

I, for one, am going to pray that The Orange Guy is successful.   Because if he isn't, we're all in big trouble.

We're in a deep hole now, and he's catching heat because he stopped digging deeper.

You pray for his failure comrade.  You hope for the downfall of the USA.   I hope you're wrong.

God Bless America, God help us.

Re: Where are the International Buyers?

I haven't seen any decrease in international buyers at all.  In fact, I had three more over the past 30 days than I had during the previous 30.  The only difference I'm seeing has been an increase in international buyers using freight forwarders, especially the big one in Delaware.
