I approved a return. There was a message,
"You're charged when the buyer uses the label"
Does this mean that I will be charged for it ONLY when the buyer uses it?
Also, the way I remember, in the past, you had to actually email return labels to buyers. Otherwise, you did not follow the rules.
Now I can't even see the label image (that was generated somewhere when I agreed to provide the label) ... so I assume that the ebay system will deliver the electronic version of the return label to the buyer..?

That's correct, you're only charged when the buyer uses it. eBay sends the buyer the return label, if you check on the case status, it probably shows "waiting for buyer to ship".

Yes, when you except a return, ebay label is email to the buyer. When the buyer prints it out is when you'll be charged the return shipping.

It's NOT when they print it out, it IS when the label receives a scan from USPS which confirms that is has been used.
Into your life it will creep

Yes, you are correct, but the most recent message says
Your next step is to send a return shipping label to xxxxx by Jul 06, 2023. See the return details to buy a label from eBay at a discounted rate. |
If you can't send a label by Jul 06, 2023, we may send the buyer a return shipping label and charge it to your monthly invoice. |
