Well, yeah, that's why they're not going to tell you. 😁 If they did announce it in advance, sales would plummet at that point as everyone waits for the bonus period to begin. This was true even back when Bonus Bucks was a continuously-running thing, and the 3% or 5% or whatever specials were offered intermittently. They don't have it as a continuous feature anymore, just a special-occasion short run every now and then, but you still won't be told in advance about it.
On the plus side, whatever bucks you do manage to accumulate won't expire for a year, so you have time to decide whether to spend what you have already, or just leave them to accumulate a bit more.
