Buyers currently have a 10 business day (or is it 15?) time to return their item. Before COVID it was five.
Many buyers open up a case and never return the item. This is a long time for my funds to just sit in limbo (while eBay collects interest on whatever account they're sitting in) and is slowing down cashflow.
Does eBay actually plan to return to the original five day window or not? With things not as locked down as they were before, I'd think the five day window is plenty of time.

If Covid runs a course in any way similar to the Spanish Flu of 1918 then it will likely be around end of first quarter of 2022 before that is over, however I do not expect that to be any sort of guarantee, the powers that be are just as likely to leave things as they are if you ask me.

Ebay doesn't collect any interest on the money.
When it'll go back to normal, depends on when they say?
No one knows.

I'm fine with waiting for funds to be released, whole lot better than having to give up those funds via a refund.

I doubt that you will ever see 5 days again. They changed it to
this before they extended anything because of COVID.

I think they made the extended times permanent. I recall they made an announcement or update. Don't really feel like searching for it.
