Did you mean:

When a buyer gives you a "window" of when he wants to receive his item...

This could be a window of a period of time, or someone saying they have to get it by a certain date. How do you respond?

I tell them I'm shipping from Canada and have no control over how long it takes, and the buyer who asked today (that wanted their item by Saturday) that if they left where there were at and the package was undeliverable, they lose MBG. I think that's enough that they're not going to buy my item and expect if they don't receive it to just get a refund.

I have enough problems I don't need antsy customers pestering me about the whereabouts of their package. I had it happen that one guy messaged me no less than 50 times because I wasn't "doing enough" to move his parcel "fast enough" and he kept sending me messages about how it's lost in the mail, I should refund him, yadda yadda yadda.

I've got real problems and don't need nonsense of someone who needs to have their coin delivered between a certain period of time or by a certain date. I told the last person who asked that my store is for buying stuff and it arrives when it arrives... if they need shipping guarantees, buy it from someone who offers such a guarantee because I don't. (And it was a $50 item, but I don't need $50 so badly that I'm going disrupt my life over a package).

Time wasted answering pesky messages is time away from making money by doing something else... like listing... photographing... sourcing... and processing... of inventory.

Funny part was it took 2 or 3 days to get to Louisiana and made its way back here that night and was out for delivery in the morning.

Or there may have been a typo when the bar code was being read. However, air mail is that fast if all goes to plan.

He explains that packages seem to not get delivered at his location on Saturday's.

The local PO may be short on workers for Saturdays. In which case, it arrives on Friday (all good) or Monday (only a problem if he is really really antsy).

Letting him know that you saw the Confirmation of Delivery, whether Friday or Monday, may be enough stroking to keep him happy.

I immediately tell them that I can not control the how long the post office will take to deliver the item.  I  then go on and tell them that I have blocked them from bidding and to get their item from somebody else.  I tell them that I do not need their money.   One guy apologized and asked that I unblock him.  I do not need the aggravation and thankfully I don't need Ebay to live or pay bills. I do realize that many folks are not in the same boat.

Before/when  they make the purchase it gives them a time frame.

If they are not satisfied with that time frame, they should not make the purchase.

If your time frame does not jive with their time frame AFTER they make the purchase,

i'm not sure how you would handle that.

Please come back and let us know...

After I replied that I ship from Canada and have zero control over US Customs or carrier services, and based on when they want it by, it's not possible. They didn't reply and went away.

I too share the opinion that I do not "need one buyer's money", and it will not make or break me.

I have a full time job that pays most of my bills, so if I get a lowball offer, I'm not desperate to sell the thing, it's not my thing anyway. If I can't sell it, the B&M store gets it back, and they give me a new item to sell. And that's the circle of my inventory.

I'm also not desperate enough for a sale to kill myself accommodating a picky buyer.

I would want to respond to the buyer as follows:

Ok, I'll throw your item out the "window" and you can come and pick it up at your earliest convenience.

...Darn... how am I going to get that "local pick-up" confirmation completed then?... Back to the drawing board!
