As an experienced seller, you are cancelling, citing buyer did not pay as the reason, aren't you?
You know that you can do this after 4 days of nonpayment.

I read that eBay was asking (random) buyers to provide a payment method before making an offer... but I'm not sure if that meant it required immediate payment after the offer's acceptance. If I'm not mistaken, it was in beta testing??? Is that as you understand it (as it stands now... LOL), @house*of*paws?
I firmly believe in cancelling orders, citing 'Buyer didn't pay'. And I recommend listing BIN with IPR as a workaround to avoid the deadbeats altogether. Hang in there...

it's called "Don't accept or allow offers" - that's your option.

This procedure is still in testing at the moment, expect more info about it in the next Seller Update which will be coming soon.
In the meantime, in your Settings there is (or was?)an option to turn this "feature" on or off, turning it on now won't put it into effect during the testing period BUT will ensure that you are included in the tests if you (really your potential buyers) are chosen for the test.

As a low-tech sort, I'm not sure what it is called ... just that it really is occurring with some buyers and is NOT a glitch.
Not surprisingly ... we haven't heard complaints from any sellers. 😋

I think "was" is correct. I've just scoured mine and can't find that feature listed anywhere at all.
But....... it seems to me that I checked my account settings before and was able to tick that feature and did tick it. 🤔

go to seller hub
click on block bidders
at the very bottom turn it on if it is available to you

Go to the below link, scroll to the bottom, and the setting might be there. Absolutely, you’ll get a reduction in nonpaying buyers. Flip side is that many of us refuse to make offers when this requirement is set.

It helps if you do not check the best offer option under the price and have the payment option Require immediate payment with Buy It Now checked.

Laughing... I have received three offers since its 'inception', and as I accepted each, I hoped the buyers were vetted. 😋
Lucky for me (or due to the beta?), all three of those paid immediately. I don't 'send' offers since I can't vet the users at all.

@kandf_vintage_finds , @powell-memorabilia
Thank you! I found them and mine IS ticked. Matter of fact, my Buyer Requirements kinda looks like a Fort Knox blueprint. 😏

Yup, this is it. I would call this "instant payment" for offers.
I would assume EVERYONE (at least with a store) has this option.
Personally, having run into this, I do NOT like it's implementation. If you make an offer, you basically are going through with it like a purchase (with a check out). If the seller counters, and/or you make another offer, you have to go through a check out again.
WAYYYYY to many step to make an offer. If this is the final version of how this works, I won't be using the option. I would give up 80% of my offers from buyer frustration. I find myself passing on making offers when sellers use this option. Takes way too much time and way too many clicks to get an offer made. Other platforms make you keep a card on file (or cards) and make it a one click and you are done. No real reason this needs to be 16 clicks and hop on one foot to make an offer.
