An educational toy.

Because its plastic, I would not ship in a bubble envelope. I would ship in a carboard box, put some tissue inside the sorter to keep the pieces in so they don't fall out of it.
See how much it weighs, measure and ship ground advantage.

You're right, a Priority flat rate box would not be a good choice -- not only due to size but also because regular postage rates based on weight and distance will cost less.
Do not ship it in an envelope. Find a box that it fits in, any box is OK. Stuff the space around the toy with paper or bubble wrap (the suggestion to put paper inside it makes no sense to me). Weigh the packed box, measure the 3 dimensions, and enter that information on the listing form to set up calculated shipping for your package.

Use a box and send it Ground Advantage. Shipping cost will be based on weight and box dimension. Your listing shows $7.00 sent Ground Advantage which sounds about right. Don't ship Priority Flat Rate; that's way too expensive.
Also, may I respectfully suggest that you use a plain white background for your photos. This can be an old sheet or tablecloth or such; I use a sheet of posterboard from Walmart. Your current photos have too much "noise" in the background and it detracts from what you are selling.

I had one of these as a kid and if I remember they are about 8-10" kind of ball shaped to big for any of the priority mail boxes. Find a box that will hold the bubble wrapped sorter and try to keep it under 1 cubic foot. Weigh the box and when you post it use calculated shipping and be sure to specify the box size and the weight and the buyer will see the shipping cost based on their location. USPS ground advantage will probably be the best shipping choice.

You could measure the item and buy a box at Walmart that would fit those dimensions.

Do you have a scale? I see you already sold the Tupperware toy, so I'm curious how you arrived at that postage amount? Hopefully it will be close, but to avoid losing money you will need to have some boxes on hand and enter box dimensions into your listing. I don't know what this toy will weigh packaged up, but calculated shipping with the correct dimensions & weight will charge the buyer the correct amount based on where they live.

Funny you are asking about this particular item. I am about to list one myself. The post office has a small square priority box that this will fit into perfectly, with some room for tissue or paper for protection. The weight would be a 1 lb rate priority mail. Anything over 1 lb (16 oz) will be charged a 2 lb rate....so use tissue and you will be fine at 1 lb rate

eBay sellers who purchase postage through eBay will pay the deeply-discounted "Cubic" rate for shipping labels for Priority Mail and Ground Advantage.

Inserting tissue inside this item can help secure all the small pieces and prevent them from rattling.
And the airspace around it should be filled with bubble wrap to prevent any movement.
Allow at 2" all the way around from the box wall, maybe more. Figure it will be dropped onto a cement floor.
You could even add pieces of cardboard to double wall the package.

I don't see why there would be a problem with rattling or need for super packaging, considering what these toys withstand in ordinary use. Or to prevent rattling, wrap them separately rather than inside the ball. Maybe I'm overly concerned about annoying the buyer with extracting the tissue.

Put the pieces into a small plastic bag inside tissue paper inside of it??
I think it would be annoying to unpackage it and have all the little pieces fall out of it. And packaged separately may require a larger box.
(I also had this toy for my children 20-30 years ago...😁).

small square priority box ( available online) is 7X7X6.
Will that fit in one?
