What to do with a neg

Sold a plate on May 28, shipped May 29.
Delivered, parcel locker in CA on May 31.
June 1st I got a neg. He is referencing the time stamp on the delivery scan.
Sorry about wrong time—nothing at 12:07
Royal Delft De Porceleyne Fles Wall Plate 9.75" Hand Painted Blue Floral 1962 (#176336333858)

I think/hope buyers would buy anyway, that is if they think the 95.5% rating is OK and bother to read it.
His last message (June 3) said he will be patient and wait to hear from his post office.
No formal case opened yet.

Do I “poke the bear”?
Do I send a feedback revision request?
Do I just leave it alone?

Any advice welcome.
TIA

Re: What to do with a neg

I personally would ask for a feedback revision request to the customer. I have never done this but it does appear based on what you have said that the neg is about a delivery time stamp and nothing done wrong by you.

If you don't hear from the customer and they don't revise I would reply to the feedback left with something to the effect of: Sold May 28th, Shipped May 29th, Delivered to Parcel Locker on May 31st according to tracking. Thank you again for your purchase. We appreciate your business!

Re: What to do with a neg

Tell him to open a case, when he does put in the tracking info showing it was delivered. They will close the case in your favor. Then ask eBay to remove the feedback.

That FB is already pretty far down on the page.

And some of us are not able to figure out what it means anyway.  Well, at least one of us.

What if he doesn't open a case?

Just for background, go to that knucklehead's feedback page, select the Feedback Left for Others tab, and tell us what you see him leaving for other sellers.

He may try similar stunts on every purchase to see if he can panic sellers into refunding without actually opening an Item Not Received claim (because, assuming that your package shows as Delivered to the City and ZIP of the address received with the payment, you would win it).

Re: What to do with a neg

Stupid negative feedback that makes no sense.

As a buyer, it wouldn't discourage me from buying from you at all.

All green, not even a neutral.

421 received 287 left.

An obvious error.

Re: What to do with a neg

Unless I read your post here...I would have no idea what the buyer is saying. LOL.

Was there suppose to be a TV show on at 12:07 ?

I think buyers will just laugh at the feedback.

It might have not got "scanned as delivered"...but got delivered. Just a thought.

Do nothing until it shows "delivered" and that's if...then ask for a revision.

Do not, I repeat,  do not respond to his feedback at this time also.

I would wait until 59 days to respond to his feedback if buyer does nothing to change it.

Re: What to do with a neg

Here is my dilemma, my selling self says message the guy with a “what up with the neg review?”
My gut instinct says leave well enough alone.

Re: What to do with a neg

Shipping days and times are approximate. Some buyers are weird. Wait till you hear from the buyer. If he opens a case then all you have to do is respond by showing the tracking number and eBay will do the rest for you. You can ask the buyer to rescind the feedback but somehow I don't think this character will do that. Whether a case is opened or not you should contact eBay and ask to have the Neg. feedback removed and chances are that they will in this case. You've covered your responsibility on your end and you can show your tracking number to prove it. Good luck!

@magsmg101

I really wouldn't poke the bear.  To be honest,  this person makes themselves look rather ridiculous.  What the heck does that message even mean? Most will probably giggle when they read it.  Sort of like I did.  lol  You have lots of others singing your praises.  Focus on that positive and move on.

Re: What to do with a neg

OK but let me ask you...how would you feel if you received a neg on your account?

years ago I had a couple of negs but at that time I had lots more items/sales and the feedback dropped about 98%

At 95.5% now! (even I would be hesitant to check a sellers inventory much less buy an item)
