I sold an item yesterday to what i now understand is a Freight Forwarder address in miami. I googled the location late last night and found that sellers have been scammed here in the past. Even so i still feel uncomfortable giving out the address, but it starts with 8550 and is located in Miami.
Unfortunately i was very busy yesterday and put my trust in Ebay that a paid for item with a confirmed address was good to go and i shipped it out UPS Ground with "signature confirmation". There was a slight incorrect aspect of the address, it was missing the "h" in 70th. I did NOT correct it but did point it out to the buyer who was ok with it. Buyer is fairly new with 4 feedback.
It was sent UPS but i can not find anywhere on my UPS MYChoice to stop the shipment.
To be on the safe side i have already removed my cc information from most online sites, as unapproved purchases made is a scam that seems to have happened to sellers sending to this address (NOT SURE HOW). Ill probably be signing up for one of those identity theft sites for the next few months because of this.
I contacted Ebay and they informed me i am protected, but im still very worried about the whole situation. Ebay told me that there was no way the payment from the buyer was fraudulent since if it was it would have been caught before payment was made. I feel as if that is not always the case and worry if that did happen i would lose out on my item and the payment.
Any advice on what i should? im kinda freaking out.
