What time of year is it best to sell U. S. coins?

I need to sell my father's collection of low to medium priced coins. What months will bring the highest prices? Thank you for your time.

I doubt there is a month or season for selling coins but the fourth quarter is genuinely good for selling anything due to gift purchases.

I sell coins, my best months are January to March.

Stuff that makes good gifts sells in Nov and Dec, but people don't buy for themselves then. My best month on record was January 2024. When Christmas is over people start to buy for themselves again.

Anytime of the year.

Getting "repeat buyers" should be your business plan.

Take good care of the first time buyers and you will get some buying one coin every week.

These "repeat buyers" will keep your sales going when it's slow.

I know, they will usually only buy one at a time. It kills me that's buyers do that but, hey it's sales.

There are highs and lows...generally there will be a rather good amount of the older generation who have money to spend and enjoy buying something every week.

There is also times where you will hit high sales and low sales. A number of people on social security when they get paid they generally spend when they get paid by the government. So you get a few good days and then maybe nothing for a few days.

I sell stamps and kinda put two and two together as such.
