Hi fellow eBayers!
This was part of an auction lot I picked up and I haven't a clue as to what it is. It's made of terra cotta clay; measures 15 by 14 by 5 inches. Give me your best guess, I'm stumped! TIA

Honestly the more I look at it, the more I like it. Can't explain why.

I get it, like, the first pics are giving me mutant turtle shell while the bottom pic is giving me brioche bun…
This is starting to feel like a pottery version of the Rorschach test 😂

yeah I think that's why it's growing on me. It's SO interpretable, not just the shape but color and texture. Like the last time I looked it reminded me of natural river rock, now I'm seeing worn leather. There are elements that are somewhat evocative of a 'mermaid's purse' (shark or ray egg sac). And of course there's plenty of .... um .... yonic vibe, as well.

It's a pita with tread marks.
It looks like you have plenty of gardening equipment there. Presuming you have at least one nice section of garden, I'd arrange the object among your flowers and plants, snap a few pics, list it as garden decor with local pickup and call it done.

It's a water drum. You are supposed to set it up at an angle under a water tipple and the water makes a drumming sound as it runs down the rippled part of the skin. They were a fad a number of years ago.

That's so funny because I was going to say it looked like it belonged with a waterfall feature (like in a koi pond) where the water would look cool running down the ribs. But then I thought that didn't make sense. If your post is correct then guess I wasn't too far off after all.

Thanks for the suggestions and chuckles everyone. It's probably the water drum, but could be the hamberger bun:)
