So I happen to notice this on one of my listings. I never authorized it and I fear that my buyers will think it is something I am offering. So if it goes badly I get dinged?
Is there any way to get rid of it?
To say nothing of the ridiculous price. $36.00 to install a switch plate cover? All these years I’ve been in the wrong business.

Well, of course. But if I want to sell it I would then have to relist it. And what's to stop this from showing up again?

Yes if you relist. No go from others listing. Then it may not show up. For $ 36 some dummy will install 2 for the buyer. I agree what a joke to put on your lising. They add lots of waranty plans to my listings also. Nothing you can do about it maybe. On some items they auto add. I hope you the best selling.

I looked in the "revise item" page and could find no mention of it. So, no, it appears I can not just edit it out.

Here are a couple links about the installation services. I realize these links do not answer your question of how to remove from your listings.

Trinton says this one is ok also only $45.00 to hang a poster
Agree we are in the wrong business

HI @labs118 & xxxxx
this service is being provided in partnership with eBay and it does look like it is showing up on a relevant listing. A buyer can elect to add this service if they would like to have the picture professionally hung. More information about this service can be found here!

Never mind, Cooler heads prevailed.

First, I am in total agreement that this service is being offered on the wrong items.
Price wise, though: If someone really really wanted someone to a) drive to their home, b) bring tool(s), and c) do a, say, 5 minute task? That would be an excellent price for the consumer.
Most wouldn't drive across town to perform a task for the "independent contractor" cut of the $36 fee ($25 at best).

I will do the job and only charge you $1 *
*Not including $49 service fee , lunch, 2 nights lodging, and a round-trip airline ticket..

Thanks for the morning laugh

Do you create your own listings from scrach.
I find that is the best way not to get all this unwanted stuff on your own listings.

Yes, I do all the coding myself in a program called FirstPage. It has a handy preview screen so I can see that everything looks right and any links work perfectly. That page also becomes the basis for my listings to my own independent web page.
Then I copy and paste that to Turbolister to fill in the title, specs, etc.
I do NOT use eBay's listing tool in seller hub.

So the trick would seem to be to ferret out their guidelines.
Are they searching particular categories (like furniture)?
Are the looking for certain keywords in the title?
Maybe a little creativity in the selection of a still applicable but different category or keywords?
I am just (maybe overly) concerned that the buyer will think I put it there. And if it goes badly then the buyer will ding ME for THEIR screw up.
