And it won't list because it has too many item specifics. I didn't put them there. I didn't ask forty stupid idiot quetions that have absolutely nothing to do with what i'm selling.
And now I'm supposed to do what exactly?
Great Moms turn them off first.

I feel your pain. I have several pearl bracelets listed on my site and it keeps asking for diamonds. I'm waiting for NAD case filled against me because there are no diamonds in the bracelet. You know how some buyers just gloss over the descriptions at times. It really needs to be revised and pertain to the item you're selling. Doesn't look like much has been done to correct the situation. Yes...it's frustrating.

100% AGREE. Every time I end an item and relist it the item specifics disappear. Asking measurements 3 times in the same listing is the dumbest Ive ever seen.

I'm listing enamel bangles and there has to be thirty questions about the stone. IT DOESN'T HAVE ANY $$$%^&% STONES! Tomorrow is another day to ask eBay to please try to make the item specifics more intuative. I realize that's not a word used here much, but you've got to be kidding. if I say No Stones, it shouldn't ask anymore.
I don't know how jewelry sellers stand it.

Yes, you can have too many Item Specifics. It will block the listing until you remove some.

Remove what? They are not my item specifics. Will removing answers suffice? Or then, will they give me crap for not answering?

Early last year, I tried listing some toy and it kept telling me I had to fill in the item specifics I missed.
Most of them had nothing to with the toy I was trying to list and after awhile, I finally gave up.

I do, but they site should, logically, remove all questions about stones if I say there are no stones. They are many many many questions about stones. It's idiotic and overdone.

I have had multiple "Add recommended specifics" so I go in and add 2 recommended and then item will not list , I get then error saying I have to many specifics. Fine I just take out the 2 recommended that I just added and update then tell it not to remind me again (but it always does Sonner or later)

These were required, but had nothing to do with what I was listing and nothing I tried worked.

I just fill in the ones that are "required" and forget the "recommended" ones, unless there are some important item specifics that I don't have in my main title. Or I paste in "see item description". I have only found a small negative impact with searches and sales. But I do jam as many important key words as I can into my main title.
However, I agree that this whole IS situation is pretty lame and cumbersome, especially when combined with eBay's Q4 tinkering and removal of categories that WORKED JUST FINE, before someone decided that change merely for the sake of change was a good thing regardless of how much hair pulling by sellers was going to happen. I lost nearly a week of sales in preparation of Holiday Season Q4 by having to modify 800 listings. I just hope that nobody at eBay is just as over-zealous and badly-timed when a Q1 update comes out.
Cheers, Duffy

I've listed in the jewelry categories a couple times lately and scrolled through, literally, screen upon screen of IS that have nothing to do with my item. Unless the IS are "Required" I fill in only those "Recommended" that are pertinent to what I am selling. In most cases, it's only 3-4 things.
And it's not just jewelry. It seems like half the things I list have dozens of unrelated "Recommended" IS for my inspection.
I know, I know, that eBay's text says that buyers will have more chance in finding my items if I fill in LOTS of IS. However, I don't think the buyer experience is improved by seeing twenty IS saying "None", "N/A", or repeating the same bit of information 3-4 times.
