What should be the minimum daily amount on ad spend

The answer is zero. I would never waste my money on ads or promotions. If you have high demand products or the lowest prices then they will sell.

I would need to ask at least 50 questions to identify what type of budget would be suitable for your particular situation.

Have to agree with slippinjimmy on this one. The first place you may want to start is by taking a look at your cost model and finding out what you can afford to spend on PL without either impacting your returns/profits or causing you to have to raise prices to where you are no longer competitive in the market place.

You should also be aware that there is no proof that the use of PL increases sales.

Its not a daily budget thing anyway, it is per sale, so could change day to day week to week etc.

Not so sure it would even help.  I would not spend any extra until you have made some sales and built a feedback record.

I assume the OP is referring to "Promoted Listings Advanced BETA which has a daily budget feature with which the seller controls how much they want to spend on a campaign per day."

(Pay per Click.)

I doubt many ebay sellers have an advertising budget for this. I don't.

Not all sellers are the same.  We are a diverse group of people, from all walks of life.  We can't figure out what your budget should be as we know nothing about your finances.  This is something you need to research and develop for yourself.

Well that isn't accurate either.  There are costs to selling, whether and a B&M or here on the internet.  It isn't free.  Each seller has to decide for themselves if additional costs to promote their listings are in order.  There is absolutely NO one answer that fits all sellers.  We are a diverse group of people on this site with a diverse group of needs.  So to answer zero is simply a personal decision but not one that is right for everyone.

Where did you hear spending money on an ad will increase sales. I can tell you 99% positive that it won't. The best pictures, the best prices, and the best descriptions win. That is assuming the item is in demand otherwise no amount will turn into a sale.

Zero dollar and zero cents. I would give Ebay absolutely nothing in addition to what they're already getting from Sellers that keep their platform alive and line their pockets with gold.

Nothing. Nil. Nada. Rien. Zip. Bupkiss.

The Promoted Listings (Standard) can be useful to bring Views, but it does not guarantee sales.

And even if you use the 2% minimum fee, that means that instead of the usual 13.5% fee on your buyer's ENTIRE payment, you would pay 15.5%.

After all your costs*, is 84.5% enough of a markup to be profitable?

The Pay per Click is a recipe for disaster.

EBay's "suggestions" are always good for eBay.

Auctions are usually a poor way to sell. Use Fixed Price and add Immediate Payment Required.

EBay is not your friend. EBay is your landlord.

*and remember that shipping is paid by your buyer and is not a cost, but packaging is.

You need sales experience before you can use PL......

Promoted Listings Standard is currently available to Above Standard and Top Rated eBay sellers with enough account activity

You are apparently the only person on ebay selling your brand, advertising it would not help, all the results are already you.

First you need to find out if there is any interest in the items.

If there is no interest in them, all the advertising in the world won't help.

Have a great day.
