Hello, I'm having a bit of a dry period lately when it comes to selling. I do realize that my shipping is fairly expensive for what I sell so I have considered lowering the prices but before I actualize that I wanted to get some advice from other sellers. What should I do to help my items sell faster?

It looks like you're selling collectibles so if you know you have items that a harder to find, have the only variation, or the only listing that is "new" you may want to keep it at the higher prices as they may command higher prices. If you are looking for a fast sell, you may want to consider lowering the prices. I often list mine at the lowest price for the more common items.
Good luck!

Lol you're going to get a lot of answers here but here is my take.
I first off like how you took good photos! I see you used a makeshift backdrop (kudos btw for that) and you gave clear detailed photos. Now I saw your shipping price (For me it is 13 dollars) and it looks like you chose Priority express (From the Expedited Shipping Option). Now I understand that it is top tier shipping with USPS, and it does get from Point A to point B fast. But the drawback is the potential price of shipping with the extent I the buyer have to pay for that.
Now I would do Priority Mail (Not Express) only because it is more cost effective for the buyer (if you want to do buyer pays shipping.) You still get insurance on the figurines (up to 100 dollars) and tracking (very important lol.) You could offer free shipping on higher priced figurines, that would make it more likely to sell, and you get a good profit.
The second thing is pricing, I see you do best offer and "Buy it now" and I like that. Fair warning, you will get people who try to get a better deal then the asking price. Sometimes with items, I like to set an auction a little cheaper then MSRP and then set my buy it now to whatever I choose, and people start bidding on it.
Now those are things I think would help your sales, im sorry if I come off as rude in any way or sound like a critic. I only want to help you out because you have a great idea selling figurines and I can see it being a good profit if you play your cards right!

Sometimes the simplest answer is the best --
I honestly feel like since we're full swing in summer now after a COVID-shutdown 2020, people are just enjoying more time away from their computers and devices and are out in the world trying to get back a sense of normalcy.
In the summer I think the last thing on peoples minds is online shopping. People are shopping locally and just enjoying the nice weather outdoors in general.
I truly believe this is why everyone is experiencing a decline in sales right now. I'm no expert on anything, but if I had to guess I would imagine things will start picking up again in the fall when people are staying in more and as the holidays come upon us again.

Hi, your titles could use some fine tuning.
I think you need more appropriate keywords. Since i am not familiar with anime items, i compared your titles with your competition in Completed listings. None of the Sold listings used the word “cute” in their titles. So drop that in favor of more specific descriptors.
For example, your listing entitled “Mei: Classic Skin Edition Overwatch Nendoroid cute”. The Sold figurines all had the number of the collectible (#757) in their titles and you did not. Another missing keyword set was “Good Smile Company”.
So really look closely at what is missing that can be included that will draw buyers to that item. The more specific keywords, the better your chances at attracting the right buyers to your listings.
Also, your listings could benefit with better SEO. For example, punctuation in your titles can prevent search engines like Google or Bing from picking up your listings for inclusion on their pages. Below is a link to SEO practices that eBay recommends.

Good luck to you, and wish you much continued success.

You've already told every buyer in the world that you are willing to lower your prices by having best offer. Maybe try just skipping the best offer and list it at the price you are actually willing to accept ? There is a regular who comes here complaining weekly about no sales and blames Ebay for some strange reason. What they do is ask double the cost they are willing to take, then expect people to male an offer. The problem is most buyers will not even make an offer when doing it that way. Another thing is you only have 11 items listed so you cannot possibly expect them to move fast unless the prices are almost at giveaway prices. Try increasing your listing volume to at least 50 items.

In addition to what the others have said, it seems like you have items that will have rare demand. There's not too many anime fans (#1) who will want action figures (#2). So you likely should be prepared for a long time before they move, unless you do want to drop your prices as suggested. As I saw in searching sold items, you are the only one that has moved all of the items in this product class within the last 90 days, which is saying something. The only other suggestion is maybe opening up these items to the countries these things originated in (Japan/Korea?) through the GSP...

Update: Thanks for the help everyone! I have updated my listed items accordingly and I plan to list a few more soon. I don't accept offers anymore and I have lowered a few of the prices for the figures. I have also changed around the titles as suggested. However I don't plan to offer international shipping because of how expensive it is.

Lower the prices if you need the money soon/sooner.
Leave it and wait it out if you're in no rush to sell.

I like what you did with the listings so far 🙂
And yes I can agree, there is the option of either having the seller or buyer pay for shipping but personally I would default to buyer because you may take a huge cut wherever you ship

I looked at your items, and Sailor Moon is much more collectible in the States. Do comps on Sailor Moon statues, dolls and collectibles for that anime genre and see if you can risk one for auction. That will draw demand to your selling items and maybe a few more will click in. The best advice I say is triple up on your stash; i.e, if you have 15 Japanese animation figures listed, try to list 45 instead. The idea is to increase revenue, create a positive cash flow, go into a higher, more calculated risk, and grow the business with more items in the genre over and above just the figurines. Good luck!

I disagree with poster 2013grotz's assessment. Wait until Japan reopens the border again after the pandemic nonsense.

I basically said the same thing you did through my GSP comment. I meant that statement for the American market, which is what I generally assume on this board. My thought was to spread the listing to a Japanese or Korean market.
