What should I do about this?

Selling a camera and within the first hour I get a buyer, then the guy sends me this message:

"I just bought your item for my brother in the united states drop your contact # so i can text you after work to complete the payment. Thanks"

I responded with: Hello,

I wont be providing any contact information. Everything will go through ebay. Please pay accordingly or I will cancel the transaction. Thank you.

I feel like this is a scam of some sort because it's so odd. I'd like to cancel the transaction, block the buyer, and reslist, but do I really have to wait 4 days to do that now?

What should I do about this?

If you're using the Fixed Price format, you need to use the Immediate Payment Required option. And DON'T use the Best Offer option. That will eliminate most of the scam attempts.

It is a scam.

Wait the the 4 days and "buyer" gets a Unpaid strike AND eBay returns your fees.

Dont wait and neither of those things happen.
