Clicked the thread and it says be sure to pay by feb 15th. Does this mean I have until then to pay without account interruption?

I'm not 100 % positive but I think there's a 10 day grace period ,, if no payment is made then they might suspend your account until you pay . A quick phone call to e bay to explain may buy you some extra time . Tulips

Ebay can suspend an account for non-payment of seller fees. I couldn't find any information on a grace period or info on how soon a suspension is applied after failure to pay, but I do know that a seller needs to make it absolutely a top priority to pay those fees on time. On eBay's Help pages they name three examples most likely to cause holds. restrictions or suspensions on an account, and not paying their fees is reason #1. (The other two are seriously violating rules or policies, and failure to reimburse eBay for refunding the buyer on the seller's behalf.) So if you can easily get the funds in a few days, then by all means do so before eBay sends the monthly invoice. And also importantly, a zero balance can turn red if you should have a return and need to refund.
Things happen in life, I know, that can create a negative cash flow. But if at all possible, leave a cushion of ready funds to cover yourself in case of an unforeseen problem with a transaction. One last point: Ebay keeps track of seller violations, and they will review them if there is a potential problem with an account. Best not to have any red flags there and another incentive to remit their fees on time. Good luck to you, and i hope this gets resolved quickly to your benefit.

I thought that if there is not enough to cover fees in your ebay account that it would just take whatever else is needed out of the attached bank account or credit card as they do when paying for shipping. Is this not the case? I have mine set up on autopay, but I just assumed it would take the funds from paypal balance and then move to the other sources if it is not enough.

That is what they do. Or you can just make the payment ahead of time from another account and save them the trouble.

It'll be just fine- you only need one kidney, anyways. If it happens again, though, it could pose a problem.

They take your first born!
JUST KIDDING!
They can charge your back up source. If it is a protracted non payment, they can send you to Collections, suspend your account, and impact your credit rating.
