For the record I'm not saying all buyers are bad or anything. I'm just curious.
I use the word "harassed" loosely. I just mean how long has a buyer messaged you (even nicely) about something that has been resolved but the buyer still doesn't accept it? For example, a buyer still asking for the return shipping refunded on a filed and closed remorse return. And also what's the monetary total cost of the issue?
I checked and mine was a buyer who messaged me periodically about once or twice a month for a little over a year. About $4.50.

Never had a buyer harass me. I’d probably refund the $4.50

Never been harassed over a sale. Thankfully.

3 1/2 years and counting, $80 item. Buyer contacted 7 or 8 months after purchase with a request to remorse return and I declined. That was the last time I communicated with him but he still sends messages asking to return.
This guy had less than ten feedback when he purchased from me. If I look at his feedback today I see it is rife with scamming.

I have to say I have the same experience as the others so far. Low volume seller but have never been harassed. For $4.50 I would have refunded and let it ago on the first message but then again that's just me.

One for a week - the other went on for about a month.

I had one for a couple years. They harassed me for as long as they could through ebay messages but since i blocked them and didn't respond eventually that ran out. Then they got my email through ebay and emailed me about once a month harassing me. It had been months when they were somehow able to pull my contact information with ebay at that point the system shouldn't have let them. I was a little more than annoyed with ebay over that one.

Exactly! Even if you’re right why have a buyer that’s so unhappy they keep messaging for a year. There are too many right fighters these days. OP should refund the $4.50.

Thank God most sellers aren't like you. Giving in to small dollar items is how it starts. Then they continue to beg. Just curious, at what dollar amount would you not refund them? $10? $20? $100?

How long has a buyer harrassed me - the time it takes to write one email. After that messages are deleted.

I had a seller harass me because I returned an item to him that was SNAD. Harassed me on eBay, then in email for months. I stopped responding and they disappeared.
This was criminal harassment by any definition - attached photoshop photos of my face on a naked man's body claiming I sent it to her (at least, claimed to be a 'her')... claimed to have hacked my phone (actually sent me the model of my phone screenshotted, not sure how)... claimed to have hacked my "Google Wallet" (didn't have one of those).

Thanks everyone for responding. I appreciate the input about just refunding a small amount like $4.50. I'd have to agree somewhat with above. I'd tolerate a "squeaky wheel gets the grease" mentality only if there is some sort of good reasoning behind it. I'm sure we all know that there's nothing wrong with sticking to a principal that coincides with policy and common sense. That's basically what I'm doing here. As said above, they CAN continue to beg... I've had that before. Only to find myself in a stickier situation because the buyer ended up totally upset pointing out that I've catered to their demand before, so why not now? The ones who gives into a small refund to an upset/persistent buyer... would you also give into a buyer who is upset at your high price, asks for a $4.50 dollar discount and says they will keep messaging you for a year if you don't?
Anyways, back to the original topic of my post. I was just curious how long have some buyers continued to message sellers when they are upset over issues. That 6 year one is a bit impressive but the dollar amount is expensive I'd say. And @michael_atw your story is pretty crazy/creepy... I hope no sellers will run into something like that.
