What's the latest on if I don't change my First Class package listings to Ground Advantage?

What happens to the listings? Curious, since eBay seems to be converting my existing first class package sales to ground advantage now without a snag in prices.

It goes back in one form or another to Ben Franklin. Rather than get rid of it, USPS has raised MM quite a bit in recent years. It's really not that cheap these days.

Most things have evolved since the postal service was started.   It just seems unfair to raise other postage so much and leave media mail so cheap.

MM is up significantly in the past few years. Prior to that,  cheap always meant slow.

It's not as slow now, but also not as cheap. A thick hardcover in a box is $6 or so. Not so cheap when it's a cheap book.

@steve_stuff

You and me both -- beginning July 9 (the first day that eBay permitted sellers to make the change, from USPS First Class to USPS Ground Delivery) until August 10, I spent over ONE MONTH changing nearly ALL my 3600 listings, and found PLENTY of errors that I had created on my own.

And I wasn't planning on doing NOTHING, with the possibility that eBay may simply "eliminate" any First Class package listings in my store that were not changed.

But this also provided me the opportunity to raise the shipping prices on ALL my media items as well, since USPS also raised the basic USPS Media rate  on July 9 to $3.92 -- and way too many of my books had previously been listed with shipping at $3.99, leaving no "elbow-room" for packing materials and fuel to the post office.

And the "quick-fix" use of "business policies" doesn't work for me -- too many different weights, overall dimensions, and price-points.

So over one month without any new listings, due to USPS playing the "name game."

Thanks again, Postmaster General DeJoy -- let's do it again -- same time, next year. . ..
