I have a buyer who forgot his apt number and the rather large package returned back to me. The buyer agrees to pay for the re-shipping since it was his fault. What's the best way to do this now that many of us are in MP?
I told the buyer I sent a Paypal payment request to their email, but he seems to not know much about Paypal... saying he paid me with a debit card (I'm in MP). I told him to check his email for the request and he should be able to pay with that same debit card.
Is there an easier way to do this? Too bad MP doesn't give us the ability to invoice buyers for additional funds that the buyer can accept or reject it.

If the buyer isn't comfortable paying through PayPal then you can create a local pickup listing to cover the shipping. I'd up the cost to cover the (12.35% + $0.30) fees you'll have to pay.

You know, I've never done a COD before in my life haha. I assume it can all be handled online and there's a fee attached to it right? But what happens if the buyer refuses to pay it? I lose out on the shipping fee as well as the COD fee, I'm assuming.

Genius. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best.

Yep. You have to front the cost when mailing COD. There's more to it than that, but the basic point is that it's a financial risk. Get the money upfront.
You can also partial refund the buyer through eBay less original shipping and fees, then have him repurchase with the right address. That might be an easier route to take.

A buyer does not need a PayPal account to pay a PayPal invoice or money request. You simply send it to their email address and they can pay through that. I am sure they try to get the person to open an account, but they need simply "pay now" with a debit or credit card.
You will have to get their email address, of course. But apparently it is OK to ask for such via ebay messages once the transaction is over.
