Hey, I'm creating a listing for an LG phone and when I hit List item for the listing to go live I get an error that says:
"It appears you are listing a kill switch activated device. Because many of these devices are lost or stolen, eBay does not allow kill switch locked items for sale on our site. If you are the owner of the device, please ensure the kill switch lock is removed and the device is restored to its original factory settings before relisting."
Does anyone know why it's there or what I can do to list the item?
Thanks in advance.

I had in the title "T-Mobile Locked" I took out the word Locked and then the listing went through.
Just to be clear, I have hundreds of other listings that have Locked in the title, but this is the first time I've had issues

Just got this for the first time today. Had "Bad battery but still works" in title. Removed all that and just put - READ. Problem solved!

As other have noted, you have to remove the word "UNLOCKED" or "LOCKED" from your title. Replace it with 'PLEASE READ INFO.." (if you're polite that is, if not "READ" will work I suppose) 😉

I would guess the OP solved the problem (or didn't list the phone) back in 2023 when they posted this.

I realize your comment is probably geared toward marketing in general and not from your own sensibilities, but wow -- "READ" in the title is seen as impolite?
Never thought of it that way when I put it in my own listings or read it in other listings.
With limited characters, you need to get the point across most efficiently. I'm not about to sacrifice a crucial key word in the title for "PLEASE."
I see people have way different understandings and sensitivities to being offended.
