Hi there! For years we have chatted about what we are going to change next year, what we think sales will be, up or down, going, retiring. all sorts of future stuff. And I am sure someone will ask about your plans. It wont be me.
There are so many new folks, and so many negitive posts recently. I wanted to try to inject something good.
This year lets try telling the tale of something good that happened on eBay. Could be something as simple as feedback you received, or how you made someone day better. Or how a buyer did something that surprised you. Something Good, that you remember from the past year.
Think about it, I will wait..

What is your best story from 2022?
This morning, it seems that your best story is of "THE Magic Photo Button". Tell us about that while you wait... please. 🤔

Heheheh, I meant to add that as another post and forgot. CRS does that..
I don't have a onetime instance. Mine is actually about you and so many of the other that I have met this past year. A year ago, I couldn't tell the difference between a flat car and a hopper. If it had a motor it was an engine. It was you and all the other wonderfully kind folks that allowed me to pick their brains about stupid stuff. That I had no clue about. Not saying I know much more than I did. But I can finally tell the difference between a box car and a reefer. hehehe
I know you most probably have no clue what I'm talking about. I get that.
But that's my story and I am sticking to it. heheheh

The best thing that happened to me on eBay this year was when a buyer actually read my Combined Shipping Policy in my Item Descriptions and put all of their items in their cart first before paying for them, and the whole purchase went through as a single order. I'm hoping this happens at least once again next year.

hehehe, it is the button when you upload your photos in the listing page. It looks like a magic wand. It fixes your photos.

Being a new member (joined 3/2022), so far I have had no return requests or bad feedback notes. I recently sold an item I am concerned with and am hoping for the best. It is due to arrive tomorrow with a 30 day return window.
Also on this form I have learned a lot of useful info. Great group of people.

Thanks for unveiling this for us... I think that @ckimodog and I were expecting something much more 'Willy Wonka'. 😶

Hi, I was wondering if you would share how you worded it. Also, would you mind if we (I) borrowed it?

Hands down the best story of the year is not mine but going to share it anyway.
It was a tale of a seller going above and beyond.
There was a post shared by a Seller on FB about a mother that was purchasing a plush for their child. Their little one had lost his and the mother was trying to replace it and it had been a while to find one. The mother asked the seller to send in a little note with the plush telling the child it had been travelling but he was happy to be home again.
This seller went above and beyond. They had some old post cards lying about so they wrote little notes to the little one based on the post card location. So, along the lines of "Hi Bobby, went to London this week to visit my cousin. This week I went to Egypt to see the pyramids" kind of stuff. There were lots of postcards and notes.
Was a fantastic ride along and seeing all what the seller did.

I started visiting local garage sales. At one, I found a pendant necklace marked Avon.
I bought it for One Dollar.
Then spent a couple hours researching similar sold items on eBay, taking photos, and writing a description.
I listed it as an auction starting at $8.99. It sold for $12.00.
If only all my listings and sales worked out like that !
