What is wrong with this company?

I have been looking for a way to contact a human being at Ebay for the last 30 minutes.  I have been dealing with them for the last two months to get money they are keeping based on a sale I made. I sold an item to a buyer and they have frozen the funds even though the buyer is fine with the item and has given me positive feedback.

 

I am a  14-year EBay member with 100% feedback and they are treating me like absolute garbage.  Howexpensive was that sale they blocked my account for, after I have sold everything from computers to cars for the last 14 years?  A whopping $120.

 

Can anyone direct me to a real contact number for Ebay?  The number I called yesterday now refers to a recording telling me to contact support through their webpage, which is of course, the endless loop that never provides you with a phone number to contact support.

 

I talked to them for hours yesterday they told me they would call me back in a half hour and called me at 0100 in the morning. Naturally I was asleep. The phone number they used to call me now redirects me to the same customer help line....which directs me to the web site for help.

 

To Ebay Management:  Your customer support system is a JOKE designed to discourage people from finding a live human. Period.

It might not be a great idea to rant about an entity whose help you seek, especially on THEIR forum.

Actually, it surely is ebays' forum. They provide it and access to it right from the ebay home page. Khorros might 'run' it, but they 'run it' FOR them. 

 

For instance, Amz just did away with their forum. They can do that if they want simply because they can and ebay can do the same.

There is plenty wrong with this company, and their stock value falling is showing it.  eBay does not care about sellers. Their focus is only mildly supportive to buyers. It is all about making them money, you do the work for them, and they collect the profit. If you won't do it for them, it opens up a gap where some other sucker will. Listings are displayed in a way to help customers buy something, not to help you sell something.  They don't even realize this is often to their detriment, and frustrated customers will go elsewhere.  The changes to the self help guide that occurred approximately early fall of 2022 is proof of that. You answer a question, you get more possible solutions, followed by a question and more possible solutions. It doesn't put up a link to talk with customer support until you have gone in loops for about 20 minutes. That is by design so most will give up, there is no way to learn a short cut. That process is fine for a new seller that is asking "how to I ship the item I sold." I've been selling on eBay for 21 years, and those are not my type of questions. I need answers for why the new 2023 listing tool says it saves time, but takes me about 60% longer than the old way, and why it is missing a few features necessary to comply with eBay listing policies. Why when an item that ships USPS first class at 10 ounces, defaults to media mail when the customer purchases a quantity of 2 (it is illegal to ship media mail for items in most categories.) eBay's updates are more and more underdeveloped. You deal with all of the stress and disappointment, eBay makes excellent profit, Win Win!! everybody is happy! I am in the process of porting my eBay store to better platforms, after which I will downgrade my eBay account to basically show customers my website exists, and nothing more.
