What is the Best Time of Day to Release My Listings?

So, I have been getting up at 3 am and creating listings and often I am able to complete 15-20 listings.   I was listing them as I created them; however I am wording if that is a bad idea.   Should I wait until after 8 am to release these listings.    

Others have suggested when you list you are stimulating the system and that generates more sales, but it is unlikely I am generating sales 3 am to 7 am so:  What is the Best Time of Day to Release My Listings?

Depends on what you are selling, and how you are selling it.

I used to just list as i go. However, now that my listings are all goodtilcancelled, thanks app changes, I am starting to scheduale all listings to start on the same day and time of the month, so if I need to delete one it is easy to know when my 50 free listings are getting used up by.

If you are able to use a computer and the advanved form, you can employ any number of strategies. Have them all start at 9pm on a sumday, or 8am on a monday, or a series of spaced out by 5.minute auctions to drive bidding.

hehehe, there's no way on earth I'm getting up at 3AM to list... that being said, I create listings in the evening, becuase that's when I have the time.  I DON'T use GTC listing as I sell mostly seasonal collectibles and I would rather relist myself on a 30 day cycle than point and forget.

As for relisting, I've fallen into the pattern of relisting the oldest 50 listings in my unsolds before  2PM my time M-F.  I'm on the left coast so it's early enough to catch the east coast shoppers.  Doing the relists only on M-F helps me not exceed my free listings for the month.

When a buyer who happens to be looking for just that item is actively looking for it.

IOW, I don't think it even matters anymore.

well... I kind of figure most of the people up at 3am are gonna be people with the munchies...if ya get my drift... and the crazies and both of those would be impulse buyers. That can lead to a bit of trouble and could lead to a SNAD as ain't nothin gonna fix crazy.... or you may get the individual lookin for something they can pawn for their next fix....so...I kind of avoid those "unusual" listing hours.

Outside of crack and crazy, I operate on the principle that anytime someone is awake and most likely has coffee in hand when I would is a good time to list. So....that would be from say.... 7AM EST to say 9PM EST …. after 9PM, I'm not drinking coffee anymore so I figure no one else in their right mind is either 😉
