If you've been using promoted listings for a while, you'll recognize Ad Fee General by its former name: Ad Fee Standard.
Promoted Listings Standard was renamed General Campaign.

That's eBay's code words for: we are entitled to take more from your sale. We don't know how to grow, so we are straight up stealing from sellers.

I have been seeking on ebay for a while now. Their fees seem very expensive, so you have any advice how I could do this better. Thank you

I am going for a promote % of around 10%. I have noticed though that when something sells there is a much higher % been taken. Any idea why this may be happening? I.e. £6.99 item (free P&P) on 12.2% and £1.09 has been taken ?

**bleep** right.. they took around 33.3% of my sale when I inadvertently agreed to this sham offer.. Basically DOUBLE the fees!

Wait. So paying 2$ in add fees on a 6$ sale is not good? That’s how much they were taking from me.
